Highlights
Description
Start the tour from your accommodation after meeting our representative who will give you all documents, vouchers, audio/video guide and GPS.
The first step of your self guided tour from Sunny Beach and the area of the South Black sea coast are the remains of the ancient city of Kabile, located at a distance of 27 km from Sliven. With more than 600 hectares, one can see excavations of basilicas, churches, fortified walls and public buildings. The archaeological reserve Kabile was founded at the end of the 2nd millennium BCE. The findings from its rich history are displayed in the archaeological museum.
After the tour back in time, our self drive tour will take you to Sliven, located in the northern region of Southeast Bulgaria, the eighth-largest city. The city is located under the massive rocky mountains Sinite Kamani (The Blue Rocks) and is known as one of the windiest cities in Bulgaria. The three rivers Asenokvska, Novoselska and Manastirska are surrounded by natural splendour and converge in the city. The city has one of the few open-air markets in BG with local specialities, fruits, herbs and vegetables.
“Sinite Kamani” National Park is the third stop in our self-guided Bulgarian adventure. It is one of the most beautiful places in the entire eastern Balkans. Famous for its fresh air, the specific forest climate and the diverse flora and fauna. After the city tour, let the children have fun at the Karandila Adventure Camp. Play at will in a pure and unspoiled natural environment, and get to know and appreciate nature.
The unique sense of merging with nature, bordered by the waterfall, combined with the favourable mountain climate, makes Karadzheykata a desirable place for rest and entertainment.
Continue your unique Bulgaria self guided tour through the midland to Zheravna. Time stood still here. Zheravna is a small Bulgarian museum village, located in the eastern part of the Bulgarian Balkan Mountains. The village has more than 200 wooden houses from the Bulgarian Revival period. Park your car and walk through the many alleys and discover the authentic monumental wooden houses.
After the visit to Zheravna you will drive back to your hotel on the sea coast and return the car to our representative.
