Description
Start your self guided tour from your accommodation at your convenient time.
With a total length of 2500 meters and twelve large halls, the Magura Cave is one of the most extraordinary caves in Bulgaria. This cave is more than 15 million years old. Especially interesting is the wealth of wall paintings, some say up to 12000 years old. Every hour a guided tour departs. Because of the constant low temperature and high humidity, the cave is still used today to mature the sparkling Magura wines.
Get ready for an incredible culinary lunch adventure with traditional national, Balkan and European dishes. Feel the magic of the irresistible aroma from the kitchen and behold from the terrace breathtaking views of the famous rocks of Belogradchik. Somewhat tired and hot? Relax and refresh in the accompanying pool, amidst greenery and space.
Wedged between the 200-million-year-old red cliffs of Belogradchik, the ancient Romans built impregnable fortifications, which were later taken by Byzantines, Bulgarians and the Ottomans. The Rock formations themselves, stretch over 30 km and some have been given legendary names such as the “Madonna” and conceal centuries-old legends.
