Ohrid - city and lake tour from Skopje
Every Friday we operate this guided full-day tour to the UNESCO protected Ohrid and Ohrid Lake, the most famous tourist destination in Macedonia. Ohrid - a city in the southwestern part of Macedonia, on the northeast coast of Lake Ohrid, which also has its name based on the city. Due to the large number of churches and monasteries, the city is known as the Balkan and European Jerusalem. Ohrid is also known as the "city of light", a literal translation of its old name, Lychnidos. The Ohrid region is included in the UNESCO World Heritage. Modern Ohrid is the heir of the ancient Lychnidos.

The tour starts at 08:30 with a drive to Ohrid from Skopje. Arrive in Orhid after passing through the western part of Macedonia in less than 3 hours drive and with one refreshment stop. Once there, we will start with a walking tour of Ohrid with our experienced local guide. Explore the picturesque Ohrid old town and its churches and monuments. Visit the impressive St. Naum monastery complex and source of Black Drim river at Galichica National park. The monastery is Built on a high rock above Lake Ohrid itself, at its southernmost point. The monastery church dedicated to the Council of the Holy Archangels, which in 905 was built by St. Naum and in it is also the grave of St. Naum, built in the southeastern part of the narthex.
