A renowned region of Malagasy territory, the west of Madagascar is full of natural treasures, the most popular of which is the baobab as well as unmissable sites such as the Tsiribihina river trip and the famous Tsingy of Bemaraha National Park. Then, the East coast of Madagascar which is a perfect tour for nature lovers. It is a trip that will make you discover the Andasibe – Mantadia and Analamazaotra tropical forest, a protected area which is home to the largest lemur named Indri Indri without forgetting the path to Sainte-Marie Island, a very peaceful park which is one of the most beautiful places on the Big Island.

Day 1: Airport – Tana
Welcome and picked up at the airport then transfer and installation at the hotel.
Day 2: Tana – Antsirabe
Departure in the morning, heading directly on national road 7 to reach the Vakinankaratra region. Known as the Southern route, from Antananarivo to Tuléar, a short stop in the small town of Ambatolampy will take place. Ambatolampy, capital of Mimosa (flowering in July/August) and recognized for the Ankaratra massif as the third highest point of the Big Island. The activity will be a visit to its foundries and artisanal distilleries. Night at hotel
Day 3: Antsirabe – Miandrivazo
According to the program, a short visit to the volcanic lake of Tritriva and Andraikiba in the morning to be fascinated by its legends, appreciate its magnificent landscapes and superb valleys. Then, visit the village of Betafo then head on the western road towards Miandrivazo the stage village before the Tsiribihina river trip. Night at hotel
Day 4: Tsiribihina river Trip
Transfer in the morning to the Masiakampy pier then start of the river trip in Barge all along the Tsiribihina. Overnight stay in Bivouacs
Day 5: Tsiribihina river Trip
Visit to the Anosiampela waterfall and swimming, visit to the Begidro village and meet local villagers, possibility of seeing Nile crocodiles and bats, evening lively and meals are specially prepared by the guide. Overnight in bivouacs.
Day 6: Belo sur Tsiribihina – Bekopaka
Arriving in Belo sur Tsiribihina on the third day at noon, Transfer by 4WD until Bekopaka the village near the Tsingy national park. Night at the hotel.
Day 7: Tsingy du Bemaraha National Park
A full day to visiting and hiking in the Bemaraha National Park, the
morning Andamozavaky or Grand Tsingy tour (4 hours walk), then continuation in the afternoon
an hour and a half visit to the Andadoany tour or the small Tsingy. Night at the same
hotel.
Day 8: Bekopaka – Morondava
Departure in the morning heading to Morondava, lunch in Belo sur Tsiribihina, after lunch head to Morondava passing by the great Sacred Baobab, the Baobab in love and the Baobabs avenue. Night at the hotel.
Day 9: Morondava – Ambositra
Departure early in the morning, direction Ambositra by the Morondava-Antsirabe road, the journey of which will last ten hours. Once in Ambositra, check into the hotel where you will stay. Ambositra is famous for its marquetry and its wooden sculptures. It is the capital of Malagasy craftsmanship. Night at hotel
Day 10: The Zafimaniry village
Today, we are going to meet a typical village in the heart of the forest with its inhabitants who welcome you with open arms. On the program, a hike in the country of Zafimaniry which is classified as a UNESCO world heritage site to discover this magnificent village which was located in a valley through the mountains. The Zafimaniry are master wood carvers renowned throughout Madagascar, whose particular and exceptional architecture, they produce incomparable rosewood crafts. In addition, a meeting with the local population of thousands of souls will fully immerse you in other modes of culture and unique customs. Night at the same hotel
Day 11: Ambositra – Andasibe
Departure in the morning to reach Andasibé, passing back through Antananarivo, the capital, and taking National Road 2 which leads to Tamatave. Once you arrive in Andasibe, the village at the foot of the national park, check into your hotel.
Day 12: Andasibe National Park – Mantadia
On this day we are going to visit the Andasibe - Mantadia National Park which is home to a wide variety of unique flora and fauna species that had several specific places to discover. For the morning, we will visit the Analamazaotra special reserve which is the main tourist attraction of this place, it is home to the largest lemur in the world "the Indri Indri" as well as other species of lemurs and birds. During the afternoon, a short hike in the private vakôna reserve to get a closer look at the lemurs and also crocodiles and birds. Night at the same hotel
Day 13: Down on Rianila river
After breakfast, transfer to Brickaville which is the place where the descent from RIANILA begins.
Rianila is a 134 km long river in the eastern part of the country, which passes through Brickaville and joins the Pangalanes canal in Andevoranto then flows into the sea.
The descent is a popular activity not only for lovers of water sports such as kayaking and rafting, but for people who enjoy sharing and meeting local people. During the descent, we will make a few stops to visit some villages like Satakoly which is an interesting village aligned along the road that runs along the Rianala; In addition, we take the opportunity to visit the local mead factory called “betsa betsa” in the village to give us an idea of how this very popular beverage is made in the region. Then we continue by the river until we arrive at Morafeno which is a village of old colonial concessions and currently houses a rice field and a fruit tree nursery. We continue afterwards to reach Andevoranto, the place where Rianila crosses the Pangalanes before emptying into the Indian Ocean. We will pass through the river avenue of Ambila Lemaintso followed by a stop to visit the Niaouli distillery. Picnic lunch.
Day 14: The Palmarium Reserve
A full day visit to a unique place of its kind thanks to its sandy beach bordering Lake Ampitabe, the Palmarium is a private reserve home to some lemurs, endemic plants... It extends up to 50 ha, you will easily encounter five species of diurnal lemurs in complete freedom, which are sifakas, varicias, fulvus and macacos and the most famous is the Indri-Indri. You can also see in abundance these famous carnivorous plants that devour incests called “Nepenthes”. Day 15: The Pangalanes Canal
Transfer always on the Pangalanes canal to Tamatave City, the economic capital and the first port of the big island. Your guide will take you to the famous Bazary Be, a large market set up under a sectional hangar. This place brings together all kinds of products ranging from fruits and vegetables to artisanal products.
Then continue to Mahambo, a fishing village located in a false bay offering a heavenly site on a pretty lagoon of fine sand. Night at hotel
Day 16: Mahambo – Ste Marie Island
In the morning, departure for Soanierana Ivongo which is 135 km from Mahambo. The journey can take up to 2 hours due to the road, but the state of the road, but the landscape we cross is well worth a little discomfort. Arriving in Soanierana Ivongo, we board a boat to reach Sainte Marie Island and the crossing takes about an hour and a half, but this would depend on the sea condition.
