MADAGASCAR PROPOSAL ITINERARY

Day 0/ ANTANANARIVO

Meet and pick up at the airport then transfer directly to the hotel. Check in, dinner and overnight

Day 01/ ANTANANARIVO – ANTSIRABE

Morning drive to Antsirabe after breakfast for about 4 hours’ drive from the capital city. Crossing the fertile region of the colorful land such as green rice fields, red houses made in bricks and mud. We do not forget to stop at the Aluminum foundry in Ambatolampy to visit the workshop and the process. Lunch en route. On arrival, a visit to see the crafts shops exposing means of locomotion in miniature made from recycled cans, pieces of wood…zebu horn factory. Hotel check in after the visit, dinner and overnight.

Day 02/ ANTSIRABE – MIANDRIVAZO

Morning departure from the town of Antsirabe and drive to reach Miandrivazo with some stops en route to take pictures of the beautiful landscape. Passing through small villages of stone cutters, gold miners, and many typical villages which reflect the Malagasy population’s way of life. Check in on arrival, dinner and overnight.

Day 03/ MIANDRIVAZO – ANOSIAMPELA (Boat trip : Tsiribihina river)

After breakfast, drive to Masiakampy, where a motor boat and the boatsmen wait to escort you along the Tsiribihina River. Upon arrival, getting on the board of the boat and starting the cruise. The first day on the river, enjoy the beautiful landscape and the fabulous waterfall of Anosinampela. This is a great place to rest and sometimes to observe curious lemurs. You can swim with this waterfall. Having dinner under the moonlight and a sky full of stars.

Day 04/ ANOSIAMPELA – AMBATOMISAY (Boat trip : Tsiribihina river)

In the morning, move from the camp site to reach the village of Begidro to figure out the daily life of the local people. Isolated and hidden in the jungle this village can only be reached by riverboat. Watch how the villages work and live in their hand built wooden houses. Then back to the river, pass right next to some open caves. This is where hundreds of bats sleep through the day hanging upside down, from the ceiling of rock, by the way you will see many Baobab trees on the riverside. Passing through the Gorge of Bemaraha. You may have the chance to see some lemurs, water birds, bats... Lunch in the river bank. Dinner and overnight camping under the tents along the river shore.

Day 05/ AMBATOMISAY – BELO TSISRIBIHINA – BEKOPAKA

Last day on the river in the morning to reach the car. Meet the driver and head to Belo Tsiribihina village. Lunch in the town, after break, drive to Bekopaka for about 4 hours with dust road. Arriving at the village, hotel check in and relax with nice breeze and hearing the nature. Dinner and overnight.

Day 06/ BEKOPAKA (National park TSINGY DE BEMARAHA)

Visit around the Tsingy of Bemaraha NP to explore this famous limestone landscape. Start in the morning by driving directly to the Grand Tsingy which is about 1hour from the village of Bekopaka. Accompanied by your guide, explore the Tsingy, high of 30 to 50 meters. Walkways and wooden bridges, will help you to continue more easily your visit. Picnic lunch inside the park, then drive back to the village and visit of the small Tsingy to admire another view with the same guide. You will might meet the lemurs, birds, reptiles and some specific plants growing in between the stones. Back to the hotel after the visit, dinner and overnight.

Day 07/ BEKOPAKA - KIRINDY

Leave Tsingy de Bemaraha area then drive back along the RN8 until Morondava. Stop again at Belo sur Tsiribihina for lunch and cross the river by ferryboat then drive until Kirindy forest. Hotel check in on arrival before an evening walk to see several species of nocturnal lemurs, and some reptiles. This is the only place where it’s easy to see the fosa which is the biggest predator animal in the wild. Dinner and overnight.

Day 08/ KIRINDY – MORONDAVA

You will have 2 hours’ visit of the dry Kirindy deciduous forest to see 2 diurnal species of lemurs with the local guide. After, drive to the town of Morondava by taking the sandy road. Some interesting stops along the way like the sacred baobab, lovers’ baobab. Lunch and relax before getting back to the Baobab Alley to photograph the amazing sunset. Back to the hotel, dinner and overnight.

Day 09/ MORONDAVA – BELO SUR MER

Indulge in a tranquil morning prior to embarking on a new day of adventure in Belo sur Mer, a picturesque fishing village situated along Madagascar's west coast, approximately 90 km from Morondava. Enjoy lunch at the village, with scenic photo opportunities en route. Upon arrival, check-in at the hotel and relish a splendid and relaxing evening on the beach. Dinner and overnight

Day 10/ BELO SUR MER

A day of relaxation awaits, walking on the beach to observe the local way of life, culture, and traditions. You'll have the opportunity to witness the construction of boats, a significant traditional activity for the local community. The residents of Belo sur Mer are renowned for their expertise in crafting "boutres," typical sailboats of the region. At the day's end, return to the hotel to unwind and savor the beauty of the beach. Dinner and overnight.

Day 11/ BELO SUR MER – MORONDAVA

After breakfast, prepare to return back to Morondava. Enjoy the scenic journey with photo stops along the way and drive until the destination. Upon arrival, check into the hotel. Dinner and overnight.

Day 12/ MORONDAVA – ANTANANARIVO (local Flight)

Late in the morning Transfer to the airport to catch the local flight to Antananarivo. Hotel Check in, dinner and overnight.

Day 13/ ANTANANARIVO - ANDASIBE

Morning drive to Andasibe for about 4 hours drive by having some stops along the way for pictures like at Peyrieras Madagascar exotic for chameleons and some reptiles then continue driving until the destination. Hotel check-in then prepare for the night walk to spot some nocturnal species of lemurs and some reptiles. Dinner and overnight

Day 14/ ANTANANARIVO – ANDASIBE

After breakfast, time to explore the national park, get then ready to see the famous "Indri Indri" which is the biggest species of existing lemurs in the world. One can also meet many different species of wildlife such as "Propitecus Diadema” or called “Diadem Sifaka", Eulemur Fulvus Rufus brown lemur, during the walk . Lunch at the restaurant in your choice. After that, drive to the Lemur’s island and the crocodile farm of Vakona private reserve to see and feel the soft hand of lemurs and to visit the crocodile farms. Dinner and overnight.

Day 15/ ANDASIBE – ANTANANARIVO

Morning last day in the Island , drive back to reach the capital . Lunch en route then keep driving until the royal palace. This royal hill is the one of the UNESCO’s World Heritage and the most important of the 12 hills surrounding the capital city of Antananarivo. This patrimonial site is the cradle of the Merina ethnic group and the unification of the country. Then, visit of the special artisanal market where to buy some souvenirs before transferring to the international airport.
