The Big Island is not only sumptuous beaches, natural reserves rich in endemic fauna and flora... it is also made up of the central highlands with breathtaking landscapes, diverse cultures and customs to discover along the different touristic Tour that we offer you. Once you land in the capital Antananarivo or “The City of Miles”, start traveling through the central Malagasy highlands from your hotel to the famous sites and villages along the RN1, RN43 and RN7.

Day 1: Airport – Antananarivo
Reception and pick-up at the airport then transfer and installation at the hotel
Day 2: Antananarivo – Ampefy
Departure in the morning heading west on the Rn1, two and a half hours of quiet road which crosses vast rice fields lined with traditional brickworks before weaving between cracked hills or wooded Tapia, shrubs with tangy and refreshing fruits and whose leaves are used to feed the local silkworms. A short stop on the road to visit Lémurs Park which is a private reserve located 25km from Tana, near the Katsaoka River. You will find birds, medicinal plants, reptiles and especially Lemurs (Black and White Lemur, Common Brown Lemur, Coquerel's Sifaka, Crowned Sifaka, Oriental Bamboo Lemur, Mongoose Lemur and Ring-tailed Lemur), then continuation passing by the andranomandroatra geyser. Night at the hotel.
Day 3: Ampefy – Antsirabe
AMPEFY: “where there is an enclosure”, a small peaceful locality in this volcanic region which lives mainly from agriculture thanks to this very fertile land but also fishing through the presence of the Itasy crater lake giving the name of the region . Lake Itasy is the third largest lake in Madagascar and in the middle stands a pretty islet, called the Virgin Island, which is the center of gravity of Madagascar. Apart from that, you can discover the beautiful lily falls.
In the afternoon, departure towards the town of Antsirabe using the RN43, then the famous RN7. Night at the hotel.
Day 4: Antsirabe – Ambositra
A short passage to the volcanic Tritriva Lake in the morning, magnificent landscapes, superb valleys, villages and hills then continuation of the road to the town of Ambositra for around two hours by car after having fully enjoyed of Antsirabe City. Overnight at the hotel
Day 5: The Zafimaniry Village
Today, we are going to meet a typical village in the heart of the forest with its inhabitants who welcome you with open arms. On the program, a hike in the country of Zafimaniry which is classified as a UNESCO world heritage site to discover this magnificent village which was located in a valley through the mountains. The Zafimaniry are master wood carvers renowned throughout Madagascar, whose particular and exceptional architecture, they produce incomparable rosewood crafts. In addition, a meeting with the local population of thousands of souls will fully immerse you in other modes of culture and unique customs. Night at the same hotel
Day 6: Ambositra – Ranomafana
In the morning visit precious wood craft workshops, then continue on national road 7, towards Ranomafana, the village at the foot of the national park for around four hours drive, a village located on the slopes of a mountain green with forests. Visit from the surroundings of the small village. Overnight at the hotel.
Day 7: Ranomafana National Park
Half a day of hiking in the Ranomafana National Park (Observation of lemurs, chameleon, several endemic plants, etc.). Continuation of the road in the afternoon, direction to Ambalavao City passing through the town of Fianarantsoa the capital of the Betsileo country. Night at the hotel
Day 8: Ambalavao – Tsaranoro
In the morning visit the village park of Anj to observe the famous Maki or ring-tailed lemurs, a short climb to the viewpoint and enjoy the landscape it offers then continue for around two hours by car to the foot of the Tsaranoro valley. Night at the Camp
Day 9: Tsaranoro Valley
Half day to explore the Tsaranoro valley and the Chameleon Peak and the hike begins just at the foot of the cliff, there are many circuits to do to observe chameleons and lemurs, natural swimming pool.
Free afternoon. Night always at the same Camp.
Day 10: Tsaranoro – Ranohira
Departure in the morning for around four hours of good driving towards Ranohira, a small village of the Bara ethnic group at the foot of the Isalo Massif.
At the end of the day, a quick hop to the Isalo window to admire the sunset. Night at the hotel.
Day 11: Isalo National Park
The Isalo National Park offers numerous hikes through magnificent and grandiose ruiniform landscapes, exceptional nature, with surprising and varied fauna and flora. Site to visit (Natural swimming pool, ridges, black and blue swimming pool, Namaza canyon, nymph waterfall). Walks through the canyons and ridges of the Park, hikes, swimming in natural pools. Night at the same hotel.
Day 12: Ranohira – Ifaty
Departure for Tuléar, the city of the sun. On the road you admire the typical tombs
of the Mahafaly. Lunch in Tuléar then departure for around 30 minutes of good road to reach the village of Ifaty with its beautiful lagoons. Overnight at the hotel.
Relaxation, relaxation and idleness on the beautiful beach of Ifaty.
Day 13: Ifaty
Possible activities: Whale Safari (Scheduled from July until mid-November on Ifaty), diving and snorkelling, traditional canoe trip, visit to the Reniala Baobabs reserve, ect… Night at the same hotel.
Day 14: Ifaty – Tuléar – Tana
Transfer to the airport then flight to Tana by the flight which connects Tuléar to Tana. Overnight at the hotel
Day 15: Tana – Airport
Visit and short tour of the capital, purchase of souvenirs then transfer to the airport according to the schedule of your flight back
