The Madagascar East Tour would allow you to discover its lush and green landscapes, as well as the Andasibe Mantadia National Park to observe the Indri – Indri the largest species of Lemurs, cruise on the pangalanes canal with the down Rianila river, Palmarium Reserve to finish in one of the heavenly beaches of Ste Marie Island. Day 1: Airport – Antananarivo

Welcome and picked up at the airport then transfer and installation at the hotel.

Day 2: Antananarivo – Andasibe

Pick-up by your guide then departure heading to Andasibe the village near the national park for about three and a half hours by car on the national road2, visit a small private park in Pereyras, then check-in at the hotel, nocturnal visit. Night at the hotel.

Day 3: Andasibe National Park – Mantadia

Morning dedicated to visiting Andasibe National Park – Mantadia and Analamazaotra forest, two

hour and a half walk in the forest to observe the largest lemur Babakoto or Indri indri and other species of endemic animals and plants, continuation of the visit to vakôna park (Island of lemurs, birds and crocodiles). Free afternoon. Night at the same hotel.

Day 4: Down on the Rianila River

After breakfast, transfer to Brickaville city which is the place where the down from RIANILA river begins.

Rianila is a 134 km long river in the eastern part of the country, which passes through Brickaville and joins the Pangalanes canal in Andevoranto then flows into the sea.

The down is a popular activity not only for lovers of water sports such as kayaking and rafting, but for people who enjoy sharing and meeting local people. During the descent, we will make a few stops to visit some villages like Satakoly which is an interesting village aligned along the road that runs along the Rianala; In addition, we take the opportunity to visit the local mead factory called “betsa betsa” in the village to give us an idea of how this very popular beverage is made in the region. Then we continue by the river until we arrive at Morafeno which is a village of old colonial concessions and currently houses a rice field and a fruit tree nursery. We continue afterwards to reach Andevoranto, the place where Rianila crosses the Pangalanes before emptying into the Indian Ocean. We will pass through the river avenue of Ambila Lemaintso followed by a stop to visit the Niaouli distillery. Picnic lunch.

Day 5: Palmarium Reserve

A full day to visit a unique place of its kind thanks to its sandy beach bordering Lake Ampitabe, the Palmarium is a private reserve home to some lemurs, endemic plants... It extends up to 50 ha, you will easily encounter five species of diurnal lemurs in complete freedom, which are sifakas, varicias, fulvus and macacos and the most famous is the Indri-Indri. You can also see in abundance these famous carnivorous plants that devour incests called “Nepenthes”. Apart from the reserve, it also has splendid beaches and unique lakes which make this place a paradise on earth. Night at same lodge

Day 6: The Pangalanes Canal

Transfer to the town of Tamatave, the economic capital and the first port of the big island. Your guide will take you to the famous Bazary Be, a large market set up under a sectional hangar. This place brings together all kinds of products ranging from fruits and vegetables to artisanal products.

Then continue to Mahambo, a fishing village located in a false bay offering a heavenly site on a pretty lagoon of fine sand. Night at Hotel

Day 7: Mahambo – Ste Marie Island

In the morning, departure for Soanierana Ivongo which is 135 km from Mahambo. The journey can take up to 2 hours due to the road, but the state of the road, but the landscape we cross is well worth a little discomfort. Arriving in Soanierana Ivongo, we board a boat to reach Sainte Marie Island and the crossing takes about an hour and a half, but this would depend on the sea condition. Day 8: Ste Marie Island

Sainte-Marie is a small island located on the east coast of Madagascar, known for its beautiful beaches, crystal clear waters and coral reefs. During the 3 days, you will discover all the wonders of the island.

Activities: Scuba diving, snorkeling, tour of the island by boat or on foot, Excursion to the Sable Island and the bays of Ampanihy and the Nattes Island, Visit to Ste Marie Island by motorbike or by bike, relaxing on the beautiful beach.

Day 9: Ste Marie Island

Day off. Night at the same hotel

Day 10: Ste Marie Island – Tana

Transfer to the airport, then flight to Tana. Overnight at the hotel

Day 11: Tana – Airport

Visit and a short city tour, souvenir shopping depending on time available

then transfer to the airport.
