Description
After the meeting and reception, we will adjust the bikes according to your needs. We will familiarize you with the security rules and inform you about the content of the program. We will start the drive with a gentle climb to Hum Bistrički and Gusakovec, where we will see the ethnic village "Sinković". We will see traditional old houses and old agricultural tools. We will reach the restaurant "Lojzek's house" which is located in a typical local traditional house on the edge of the forest. After the rest, we will continue driving to the hill "Samci", where we will visit the Monument to the Peasant Rebellion. There we will tell you the story of the peasant rebellion from the 16th century and their leader Matija Gubec. We will reach the church in Gornja Stubica, where there is a 450-year-old Gupča lime tree. There is a traditional house from the 19th century and a small restaurant with local dishes. In the center of Gornja Stubica, we will look at the MIG 21, a monument to the Croatian pilot Rudolf Perešin, a hero of the 1991-95 Homeland War. We will drive through beautiful forests and fields along the Burnjak stream. After a long ascent through the village of Sveti Matej to Laz Bistrica, we will reach the highest point of our route in Marija Bistrica, driving down a 6 kilometer long downhill.
