Cycling-By bike through the history of Stubica
With this cycling tour, we will present you the rich heritage of the Donja and Gornja Stubica . After the welcome and introduction, we will adjust your bikes, if necessary. Before we start the tour, we will distribute the appropriate bike helmets and backpacks and inform you about the safety rules during the ride and the content of the program. We will visit the center of Donja Stubica on bicycles, we will pass a water mill from the 19th century. We will visit the Golubovec castle, a replica of a traditional house from the 19th century on the medieval estate of Matija Gupca, the leader of the Peasants' Revolt in the 16th century, a 450-year-old linden tree, a monument to Rudolf Perešin, a pilot and hero of the Homeland War, a large monument to the Peasants' Revolt and a restaurant in the house of a traditional architecture with local organic food. Driving through the nearby villages, which are full of beautiful scenes of rural idyll, untouched nature and traditional architecture, we will return to the place of departure. At all the places where we will stop, we will tell you a story so that you can get to know the history, culture, nature and way of life of the good and hospitable inhabitants of Stubica.
