The Mother Armenia Memorial Complex was opened in 1967, in Victory Park. The height of the monument is 52 meters and the statue’s height is 22 meters. Matenadaran is a depository of ancient manuscripts and has one of the biggest collections in Armenia. It was founded in 1959. The repository contains more than 17000 manuscripts, 450 thousand documents, and 3000 ancient books. The oldest manuscript is the “ Vehamor Avetaran” which was kept from the 8th century. Here you will see the biggest Armenian book “ Msho Charyntir” (weights 28 kg) and the smallest book (190g). It also presents old Armenian works of medieval science, art, and Armenian miniature painting.

Cascade Complex was built in the 1970s. The complex connects Victory Park to the city center. It includes a big statue of Tamanyan, the garden of Tamanyan, the external and internal stairs of the Cascade stairway, the Cafesjian Center for the Arts, sculptures, fountains, and lots of cafés. Its north-south orientation makes the complex a part of the city center's main axis and provides views of Ararat Valley. It consists of five platforms laying on a hillside connected by altogether 572 steps.
