Standup paddleboard yoga is the perfect way to challenge your balance, work your core, and quiet the mind. Take in the beauty of turquoise water, the palm trees, and blue sky as you move through this fun and challenging yoga sequence. Throughout the class, the instructor will offer many options and variations so each guest can work at their own level of comfort and ability. Falling in is fun and encouraged, as the water can provide a cool and refreshing break. Classes end with a serene floating savasana, with fingers and toes trailing in the water and the mind free to find stillness and peace.

Itinerary
First, we meet at the Magic Island parking lot and leave clothing and personal items in the van. We chat on the beach for 5-10 minutes, reviewing safety and tips for balancing on the boards. Then we are ready to carry the boards and anchors to the water and wade into a spot that is about waist-deep.
Class begins with a short meditation, connecting to the ocean and the elements of nature around us. When we are ready to start moving, the class follows an arch, starting with easy and stable poses, and slowly moving on to more and more challenging poses. Variations are offered throughout the class so each guest can work at their own ability level. Usually about 50% of our guests fall in the water during the class. Falling in is highly encouraged!
As the arch of the class brings us back down to a more simple and balanced cool down, students prepare for a blissful floating savasana (meditation) to close class.
At the end of class, we offer some free time for students to challenge themselves, pose for photos, or just enjoy a few moments sunbathing on the water.
