Description
During 16 days, we visit park and reserves in Uganda and Rwanda. We shall see the Shoebill Stork, different primates among others Mountain Gorillas, Chimpanzees and Golden Monkeys, the African Big 5 (Lion, Leopard, Rhinoceros, Buffaloes and Elephants). We will also see other animals like Giraffe, Zebra, Impala, etc. We will also experience the agro-tourism activities as well as the East African culture and test the African and international dishes.

Day 1: Arrival at Entebbe airport/ driving to the hotel near Mabamba wetland; accommodation is at Nkima Forest Lodge
Day 2: After breakfast, we drive to Mabamba to see the fabulous Shoebill. After lunch at the Lodge, we drive to Lake Mburo NP (around 250km); accommodation is at Rwekobo Rock Lodge
Day 3: We have a morning game drive and wildlife viewing, we can see various birds such as Fish Eagles, Crested Cranes, Pelicans, herons, African Fin foot and animals like Giraffe, eland antelope, zebras, topis, impalas, Warthogs, Buffaloes, etc. After lunch, we drive to Kibale Forest national park; accommodation at Kibale Guest House Cottages
Day 4: After breakfast, we go for a morning birding in Kibale Forest and our main target is Green-winged Pita and other forest birds. We go for birding/walk around Kibale we can see Great Blue and Ross’ Turacos, Black Bee-eater, etc ; as well as some Primates; accommodation at Kibale Guest House Cottages
Day 5: After breakfast, we take a morning walk in Bigodi wetlands until lunch time. After lunch, we are driving to Queen Elisabeth National Park; accommodation at Bush Lodge
Day 6: We start a birdwatching combined with big animals until 11am when we drive to Kazinga Channel for a boat cruise and we can see Hippopotamus, Crocodiles, animals coming for watering like Buffaloes and Elephants and waterbirds; accommodation at Bush Lodge
Day 7: After breakfast, we start birdwatching and game driving towards Ishasha Sector and we can see climbing lions towards the south exit of Queen Elisabeth NP. After lunch in Kihihi Town we drive to Bwindi Impenetrable National Park; accommodation at Gorilla Mist Camp
Day 8: After breakfast, we have a morning birding to see some Albertine Rift Endemics; after lunch at the lodge, we have an afternoon birding/walk according to the guide’s suggestion; accommodation is at Gorilla Mist Camp
Day 9: We have a morning birdwatching inside the park or village around the park; Alternatively, you can trek Mountain Gorillas. After lunch, we drive towards Rwanda-Uganda border (Kisoro) to reach the lodge in Rwanda around dinner time; accommodation is at Ingagi Park View Lodge
Day 10: After breakfast, we drive to Nyungwe with a stopover for agri-tourism experience; on the way, we stop for tea and coffee processing experiences; (you can trek Golden Monkeys and after lunch drive to Nyungwe); accommodation is at Nyungwe Top View Hill Hotel
Day 11: After breakfast, we have a full day birding to see the Albertine Rift Endemics like Regal Sunbird, Rwenzori Turaco as well as the mountaneous birds like Great Blue Turaco, Doherty's Bushshrike, etc. We have a brief lunch before we switch to the other birding trail; accommodation at Nyungwe Top View Hill Hotel
Day 12: We have a full day birding (as day 10) in different trails and the accommodation is at Nyungwe Top View Hill Hotel
Day 13: After breakfast, we have a half day birding until lunch time; Alternatively, you can trek Chimpanzees before driving to Kigali. After lunch, we are driving to Kigali to arrive at the lodge at dinner time (around 7pm); accommodation is at Hôtel Chez Lando
Day 14: We are leaving Kigali after breakfast, we drive to Akagera NP. After registration, we have a morning birding and game driving. We try savannah birds mainly Cisticolas and Chats. We also see anmals like Giraffe, Elephants, buffaloes, Zebra, etc. After lunch, we resume birding at 3pm towards Lake Ihema for a sunset cruise; we shall see many waterbirds; accommodation is at Akagera Game Lodge
Day 15: After breakfast, we drive for a morning game driving and birding until 3pm. Later afternoon, we drive to Kigali; accommodation is at Hotel Chez Lando
Day 16: After breakfast, we drive to Bugesera to see papyrus birds mainly Papyrus Gonolek, Papyrus Canary and Carruther’s Cisticola. After lunch, we visit Kigali Genocide Memorial and we go for souvenirs shops before we drive to the airport; Evening flight
