What's included
Itinerary
Our tour guide/driver will meet you at the airport and take you to Bwindi Impenetrable National Park. Depending on your arrival time, you can either spend an overnight in Kampala/Entebbe for a fee of less than $100 for late-arriving flights, or immediately head west to the home of the mountain gorillas.
The 9 to 10 hours of driving are worthwhile because of the picturesque views of the western countryside, the terraced Kabale Hills, the fruit shops, and, most significantly, the picture-perfect crossing of the equator line with a lunch stop later in Mbarara
For millennia, the Batwa lived in harmony with the forest and its inhabitants, including mountain gorillas. Some anthropologists believe that pygmy tribes such as the Batwa have lived in Africa's equatorial forests for 60,000 years or more. Our tour guide will take you to their community where you will be welcomed into their home as they demostrate wonderful skills they have mastered for generations including fire and cloth making.
