Day 1:
Transfer to Bwindi Impenetrable National Park
Our guide will pick you up from the airport or hotel in Entebbe/Kampala following an early morning breakfast at 7:00 am. You will receive a briefing about the entire safari before departing for Bwindi Impenetrable National Park, located in the southwestern region of Uganda. En route, you will visit a local community known for drum and craft-making.
A stopover at the Equator will allow for photo opportunities. You are also welcome to purchase crafts and souvenirs. Lunch will be served in Mbarara town. Subsequently, you will continue your journey to Bwindi, arriving in the late afternoon. Upon arrival, check into your lodge, spend the evening relaxing, and enjoy dinner.
Day 2
Gorilla Trekking in Bwindi Forest
Following an early breakfast, you will proceed to the park's headquarters for a briefing by the park rangers on the dos and don'ts within the park. Subsequently, you will be grouped into teams of eight and embark on the trek to observe these gentle giants, guided by the rangers.
Observing the mountain gorillas as they feed, play, and go about their daily routines is an unforgettable and remarkable experience. The duration of this activity ranges from two to eight hours, depending on the gorillas' location and movements. Upon encountering the gorillas, you will have one hour to spend with them, capturing photos.
Afterwards, you will return to your lodge. In the evening, you have the option to unwind at the lodge or explore the Batwa community. Engaging with them will offer insights into their lifestyle, traditional dances, and captivating stories about their culture. The day concludes with dinner and an overnight stay at the lodge.
Day 3:
Return to Kampala/Entebbe
After an early breakfast and check-out, you will bid farewell to the "Switzerland of Uganda" and embark on your journey back to Kampala. As you traverse the undulating hills adorned with terraces, take in the verdant views of the region's lush vegetation. A lunch stop is planned in Mbarara, followed by a visit to the Mbambire drum makers. Here, you'll have the opportunity to purchase some of these traditional drums before proceeding to Kampala. You are expected to arrive later in the afternoon, allowing for a tranquil evening to unwind and prepare for your early morning departure on the next leg of your journey – the Kenyan Adventure.
Day 4:
Embrace the Maasai Mara
Early Morning or Mid-Morning Pick Up: Depending on your preference, we'll pick you up at Jomo Kenyatta International Airport (NBO) in Nairobi for an exciting journey to the Maasai Mara National Reserve.
Witness Maasai Culture: Upon arrival at the Mara, delve into a captivating Maasai cultural tour. Visit a traditional Maasai boma (homestead) to gain insights into their fascinating way of life, customs, and vibrant culture.
Unwind at Your Mara Lodge: After this enriching experience, settle into your comfortable lodge in the heart of the Mara, ready for your upcoming wildlife adventures.
Day 5:
Immerse Yourself in the Mara's Wildlife Spectacle
Full Day Game Drive in the Masai Mara: Embark on an unforgettable full-day game drive across the vast savannas of the Masai Mara. Keep your eyes peeled for iconic wildlife like lions, elephants, zebras, giraffes, and many more. Witness the breathtaking scenery and, if you're lucky, catch a glimpse of the Great Migration (depending on season).
Day 6:
Explore the Diverse Landscapes
Morning Game Drive & Departure for Lake Nakuru: Enjoy a final exhilarating game drive in the Masai Mara before departing for Lake Nakuru National Park. Take in the diverse landscapes as you travel and keep an eye out for wildlife along the way.
Arrival & Afternoon Game Drive at Lake Nakuru: Settle into your accommodation at Lake Nakuru and embark on an afternoon game drive. Witness the vibrant birdlife, including a stunning spectacle of pink flamingos, and spot a variety of mammals like rhinos, lions, and zebras.
Day 7:
A Farewell Full of Beauty
Sunrise Visit to Lake Elementaita: Rise early and witness the magical sunrise over Lake Elementaita, known for its large flocks of pink flamingos.
Unforgettable Boat Ride on Lake Naivasha: Continue your journey to Lake Naivasha, a freshwater oasis teeming with wildlife. Enjoy a unique boat ride, observing hippos basking in the sun and fish eagles soaring overhead. Keep an eye out for the resident population of colobus monkeys in the surrounding acacia trees.
Return to Nairobi: After this enchanting experience, relax and reminisce on your incredible safari as we drive back to Nairobi for your final airport drop-off at Jomo Kenyatta International Airport.
