This 15 days safari in Uganda will take you to Murchison Falls for the Big 5 game animals, the Trip Starts from Murchison Falls National Park will take you to the strongest waterfalls which is located in North Western part of Uganda covering areas like Masindi, Buliisa, Kiryandongo, Nwoya, Amuru, and Pakwach. It is known for its diverse wildlife and it’s also known as the powerful waterfalls in the world. With the breathtaking view of the country’s side, you will witness the Big Five mammal species like Elephants, Leopards, Lions, Buffaloes and Rhinos. You will also get an opportunity to view the Nile crocodiles, Hippos, Waterbucks etc while on a game drive and boat cruise.

Kibale Forest National park known for being “The Primate Capital of the World” having about 1500 Chimpanzees which gives a great opportunity for Chimpanzee trekking and Habituation, the park is located in Kabarole District. It is also a home to 120 mammal species like warthogs, bushbucks, bush pigs, antelopes, and over 300 bird species like hornbills, black billed turaco, kingfisher, weavers, cuckoos, purple breasted sunbird, and crowned eagle among other bird species.

The safari takes you to Queen Elizabeth National Park for wild game viewing. Queen Elizabeth National Park dubbed as “The Medley of Wonders”. The park has a variety of offerings ranging from a visit to the Salty lake in Katwe, various mammal species of about 95 like the tree climbing lions at Ishasha sector, the 4 members of the Big 5 like Elephants, Buffaloes, Leopards, Lions among other species like Antelopes, spotted hyenas, Hippos and endangered chimpanzees. The park also offers over 600 bird species to the birders like the grey crowned crane, handsome francolin, martial eagle, grey crowned heron among others and also an insight of the Nile crocodiles, Giant Hippos at Kazinga channel. You will experience the nature smile of Africa!

Bwindi impenetrable forest for the wonderful and more thrilling mountain gorilla trekking. Bwindi Impenetrable Forest National Park is located in South Western region of Uganda in Kanungu district. It is best known for Mountain Gorilla Trekking Experience, The Park has almost half of the Word’s population of Mountain Gorillas with a population of about 459 individual mountain gorillas, 21 habituated gorilla families in the different sectors of the park like Nkuringo, Buhoma, Rushaga and Ruhija which gives a great opportunity for Gorilla Trekking g and Gorilla Habituation.

Lake Mburo National Park “whispers of the wild” and you will be able to sight the largest number of zebras in Uganda, the Park is one of the smallest parks in Uganda. It is a home to a variety of wildlife including Impalas, buffaloes, bush pig, topi, crocodiles, elands, buffalos, oribi, waterbuck, leopard etc. Bird species like African Fin foot, pied kingfisher, bare faced go away, Red faced barbet, Greater painted snipe, Blue breasted kingfisher, striped kingfisher etc. Here you will relax and enjoy the scenery. The Park’s topography and vegetation are made of falling and raising hillsides, rocky outcrops, open and wooden grassland, rich acacia tree valleys, forests, bushes and thickets together with permanent and seasonal swamps along the shores of the Lakes. And finally conclude your adventure with rafting in Jinja.

Day 1: Transfer to Murchison Falls National Park via Ziwa rhino sanctuary

Pick up by your guide from the Hotel in Kampala in the morning after breakfast and transfer you to Murchison falls National Park through the Luwero triangle. On the way, visit Ziwa rhino sanctuary where you will track rhinos and have lunch at the restaurant.

Thereafter, you will continue to Murchison falls National Park through the southern gate and you may be fortunate enough to see some baboons on your way through Budongo forest.

You may opt to have an evening game drive or relax at the lodge. Dinner and overnight stay at the lodge.

Day 2: Murchison Falls National Park - Morning Game Drives & Afternoon Boat cruise

After an early morning breakfast, you will leave for an early morning game drive looking for the early morning riser. As you head out for the game drive, you will be in position to spot animals like the buffaloes, elephants, lions, leopards, hyenas, Rothschild giraffes, Oribi, Kobs and waterbucks together with some bird species along the way with some feeding together with the big animals.

You will return to the lodge for lunch, and thereafter head for an afternoon Boat cruise along the Victoria Nile to the bottom of the falls. This Boat cruise on River Nile goes for approximately 3 hours and you will be able to see a number of animals like the Nile crocodiles, numerous hippos, some elephants and buffaloes that come by, as well as various bird species.

After the safari, you may go for an evening game drive or head back to the lodge for relaxation.

Dinner and the overnight at the lodge.

Day 3: Murchison Falls National Park - Top of the Falls and Transfer to Kibale Forest National Park

On this day, you will have breakfast and head to the top of the falls where you will view it from above. At the top of Murchison Falls “also known as Kabalega Falls”, the Nile forces its way through a gap in the rocks that is only 8 meters wide, and tumbles 43 meters before flowing westward into Lake Albert.

Later you will drive out of the park through the southern gate heading to Kibale national park via Hoima and Fort Portal were you will have lunch before heading to your accommodation.

Kibale Forest is one of Africa's beautiful rain forests and home to 13 primates and most common ones are Chimpanzees, it is also a great place for birders since it harbors over 325 bird species. Dinner and an Overnight stay at the lodge.

Day 4: Kibale Forest national park - Chimpanzee tracking and Bigodi Swamp Walk

Breakfast, head to the park head offices for briefing and after set out for Chimpanzee tracking through the forest. Remember that only 1 hour is given to trackers when they meet with the chimpanzees. On seeing chimpanzees, other primates can be spotted such as the Red Tailed Monkeys, L’Hoest’s Monkeys, Blue Monkeys, Black & White colobus Monkeys among others and also elephants, antelopes, buffaloes can be spotted in the forest.

Go back to the lodge for lunch. In the evening go for a walk through the Bigodi wetland where you will see birds, baboons, bush babies among other wildlife species. Have dinner and overnight stay at your lodge.

Day 5: Transfer to Queen Elizabeth National Park

Immediately after breakfast set off for a 4 hours’ drive to Queen Elizabeth which is one of Uganda's outstanding wildlife National parks such as over 600 bird species, mammals like elephants, buffaloes among others. During the journey, you will enjoy great views including the Rwenzori ranges. On reaching the park go for a game drive in the evening where you will see a number of animals. Dine and sleep at the lodge.

Day 6: Queen Elizabeth National Park - Game Drive & Boat cruise

Today after breakfast go for an early morning game drive through the park where you will see different wildlife species like waterbucks, lions, elephants, hartebeests, giraffes, antelopes, buffaloes, leopards, warthogs, also view different crater lakes. After the 3 hour drive, head back for lunch as you prepare for the afternoon 2-hour boat cruise on Kazinga channel which is home to over 550 hippos; also you will see birds and other animals like crocodiles, elephants, antelopes among others. Return and have dinner and overnight.

Day 7: Queen Elizabeth National Park - Visit Katwe salt lake and have a crater drive

On this day, you will wake up on a chill breakfast at your lodge, then drive to Katwe salt lake for the salt mining experience.

The lake is found in the small run-down town of Katwe on the outskirts of the Queen Elizabeth National Park in the Kasese district and covers an area of approximately eight square miles. Its shores are lined with small ponds or pans of water from which salt is extracted from the bottom in a process called salt panning.

Thereafter you will head for a crater lakes drive to have an amazing picture moment and also see a number of other animals on your way. There are mainly three major crater lakes in Queen Elizabeth national park namely Katwe Crater Lake Bunyaruguru Crater fields and Ndali-Kasenda Crater Fields. These crater lakes are formed from extinct volcanoes that existed many years ago. After all this discovery, you will drive back to your lodge as you enjoy the beautiful sceneries of Mountain Rwenzori. Dinner and overnight stay at the lodge.

Day 8: Tree climbing lions and transfer to Bwindi Impenetrable Forest National Park

On this day, you begin your journey to Bwindi Impenetrable national park via the Ishasha sector for the tree climbing lions. This journey will take you through the Ishasha sector where you will stop over to see these lions that spend most of their day time resting in tree branches. Have Lunch on your way and drive straight to the park. Have dinner and take a rest at your lodge as you prepare for Gorilla tracking the following day.

Day 9: Bwindi Impenetrable Forest National Park - Mountain Gorilla tracking and Batwa Trail

Talk of gentle giants with a 98% DNA close to that of humans, it's the Mountain gorillas which made Bwindi Forest their home. Also, other species like butterflies, plants, primates, mammals, butterflies, frogs, among others are also found here. After briefing at the headquarters, you will be led by the Rangers into the jungle to track gorillas. This experience usually takes 1 hour to about 8 hours since gorillas move differently also and only 1 hour is granted to capture your greatest moments with the gorillas. Just in case some of you are not interested in tracking gorillas, you can go for a short guided forest walk or Village walk to the Batwa community. Retire at the lodge.

Day 10: Drive to Lake Bunyonyi for relaxation

Today after breakfast while still in the mood of reminiscing about the previous days' gorilla experiences, you will drive to Lake Bunyonyi, which is Africa’s second deepest lake and a birders spot. Enjoy the eye-catching landscapes such as the locally terraced interlocking hills where most locals carryout their farming. Also while here, you are in the base that was named by British great diplomat Winston Churchill as the Switzerland of Africa. Dinner and Overnight stay.

Day 11: Lake Bunyonyi - Relaxation

Take your breakfast having amazing views from surrounding hills, forests and the beautiful rays of the morning sun. After head out for a canoe ride on the lake which harbors 29 islands and almost every island with a history such as the Punishment Island – enjoy the stories from the guides on this boat ride.

Return to the lodge, have lunch and in the afternoon, take a walk, or hike up the hills to enjoy more spectacular views of forests and lakes, or watch birds, or read a book while relaxing by the lake shores, or swim in the lake which is Bilharzia free and safe for swimming. Dinner and Overnight stay.

Day 12: Transfer to Lake Mburo National Park- Home of Zebras

After breakfast, embark to the 4 hours and 30 minutes’ drive to Lake Mburo National Park- among Uganda's smallest parks with lunch en route you will be passing through stunning sceneries, farms, and plantations. The park is home to a big number of Zebras, also impalas, oribis, buffaloes, warthogs, waterbucks and also over 332 bird species made it their home.

When you arrive in the park- in the afternoon go on a boat cruise along Lake Mburo, take enough photographs. Dinner and Overnight stay.

Day 13: Lake Mburo National Park - Morning Nature walk and drive back to Jinja

Enjoy an early breakfast, after do a game drive as you continue to Kampala, have a stop at the Equator line; take photos and also buy some souvenirs from a craft shop. Enjoy lunch still at the Equator or in Kampala depending on the time you arrive there after lunch drive to Jinja located in the East of Uganda and the home of the source of the Nile River. Arrive in the evening and have dinner and take a rest at the lodge/hotel of your choice.

Day 14: Jinja - White water rafting & River Nile discovery

Have an early breakfast and head out for today's activities. The Nile River finds its source in Jinja where it starts the 4000 km through different African countries. So your driver will take you to where the beginning point is as you go for discovering the Source of the Nile; you will go for a guided boat cruise on the Nile.

After the boat, go for half day rafting on the rapids which is an adventure and an unforgettable experience. Have lunch and after you could choose to rest at the lodge on the swimming pool or go for optional activities like bungee jumping or kayaking or quad biking or Horse riding.

Day 15: Return to Kampala/ Entebbe International Airport

Take breakfast leave Jinja for Kampala buy some souvenirs to take home with you. We will transfer you to Entebbe as you bid farewell to Uganda. We believe you had a great time in this 15 day Uganda safari with both different people and also in the wild.
