My son and I came here to celebrate his 20th bday and Christmas. This tour wasn’t planned because I’m the spare of the moment spontaneous type of person. I beg you if you’re taking a trip to Spain ?? and want to learn their history, their culture, and capture the nature experience book a tour here. I promise you it’s worth every penny spent and time you put into it. First time in Tenerife, Spain and I had a blast. The tour of the jungle was absolutely breathtaking! Thank you Gregory soooooooo much for this amazing experience. We had so much fun and we will do this again soon! Myself and my son will never ever forget it!  Hide review

Gregory is extremely knowledgeable about Tenerife’s cultural and geological history. He is interesting to talk with on a wide variety of subjects. He had a very chill vibe with a diligent attention to what we wanted to do. He picked up quickly my husband and I have different travel styles and interests. He a deadly accommodated, those differences. We drove most of the island with Gregory, selecting the perfect time of day to avoid traffic, and provide incredible views in the right light. Hey, Balance is wanting you to see the entire island with taking time out to enjoy local flavors like a baraquiia coffee. Gregory had car trouble that morning, but yet was on time to meet us in a rental. It must’ve been very stressful that morning for him but he did not let on at all if he was stressed out. We found the price of this shorter to be only slightly more than booking from the cruise line, which would’ve put us with at least 15 if not 50 other passengers. With Gregory, we had him all to ourselves and we could pick and choose where we went, and how long we spent. Cannot recommend enough. You will not be disappointed.  Hide review

We had a short walk for couple of hours and after that the lunch at the local restaurant was so delicious! Also at this tour we are glad that we have chosen the option of a private tour - to have the time at your own rhythm and the possibility to choose what to do, where to go. Thank you, Gregory for the great time and all the best with your project!  Hide review

Instead of desert, Anaga is filled with green plants and cool mountain air. Unfortunately we were limited in our hiking as the wildfire was in full force but we were still able to take in the beautiful scenery and had a local lunch. Gregory worked to adapt the tour and ensured we left having seen this beautiful side of Tenerife. We even stopped at Starbucks on the way back for mugs which I collect. Thank you Gregory!  Hide review

The start takes you through dense woodland , perfect shade no crowds to appreciate the nature. Later it opens up to provide spectacular views over the north of the island before we ended for a late lunch in a local restaurant. Gregory picked me up from the hotel and on the way we visited Santa Cruz and several viewpoints. On the return we stopped for more views over the whole of the island towards Mount Teide. All the time Gregory was informative and courteous. For anyone wishing to escape the tourist crowds and coach tour commodity then this is a great relaxing day.  Hide review

When we booked a return to Tenerife this November, we immediately contacted Gregory (Owner/Operator) for our shore excursion tour. Our party of 5 wanted to see architecture (Opera House featured on Smithsonian Channel), street murals, and island sights. One of our party also wanted to see the Tenerife Air Disaster Memorial, which Gregory accommodated. A 6-hour tour turned into 8 (no extra cost). 3 of the 5 in our party had not been to Tenerife before, and they were duly impressed with the architecture AND the Air Disaster Memorial, AND the main island sights IN DEPTH- all for a lot less than the cost of a ship tour. Thanks again to Gregory and his genuine love of the island for a remarkable tour.  Hide review

Gregory charges a little more than some for a private tour, but his private tour is worth every penny. You get what you pay for. Most tour buses - especially ship tours - make 2 stops on a tour-Mount Teide and Rocks of Garcia. To be honest, these 2 attractions are both excellent and they will give the tourist an excellent memory. Our Tenerife tour included 4 Mt Teide related stops, the Rocks of Garcia and 1 additional plate tectonic related stop (later) AND 4 villages PLUS a lunch break with Canarian local food. MT TEIDE: This is the 3rd largest volcano in the world. The volcano is so tall and the air is so pure that there are world-class planetarium observatories located on the summit. The area is certified as an International Dark Skt Reserve by the International Dark-Sky Association (IDA). Awesome photo ops were given. When you only have 6 pax on a tour, stopping for pictures is a snap (pun intended). The crater rim of this huge volcano is amazing- it is 11 miles across. It just goes on and on. ADDED BONUS: 3 extra stops for great photo ops of the volcanic region. ROCKS OF GARCIA: A very interesting natural rock formation is located within the crater of this huge volcano. This formation is Rocks of Garcia. The rock outcrop formation is TECTONIC and NOT VOLCANIC. 2 tectonic plates collide inside the crater, and the result is the Rocks of Garcia. ADDED BONUS: There is another area at high elevation near the summit of a crater rim mountain peak where the tectonic plates also meet. This stop was amazing because the air temperatures for the wind rising up the opposing slopes of the peak are different, and clouds are created when the air flows meet (like cloud forests in Costa Rica). On one side of the peak, it is perpetually moist and ferns grow on the steep walls of the arête; the other side has dry air, so it is desert-like, with a lot of cactus. CANDELARIA VILLAGE with 10 KINGS STATUES and CHURCH: This was an added bonus stop on the tour. The original aboriginal inhabitants of the island were called Guanches. They were literally stone-age tribes. There were a total of 9 tribes-each with a king- together with an overall ruling king. The Spanish arrived and for reasons unknown rounded up all of the tribes and killed them all, so there are no surviving bloodlines from the original settlers. Candelaria has statues commemorating each of 10 kings that line the perimeter of a plaza that also has a nice photo op of a church. 3 ADDITIONAL VILLAGES: We drove through 3 additional villages that had quaint or historical significance. It was pleasant to see locals in their natural environment.  Hide review

Our guide Gregory met myself and 9 year old grandson off the ship in his beautiful Mercedes. It was a lovely sunny day and he drove us to see so much of what this beautiful Island has to offer. His knowledge of the Island was exceptional and he made many stops for photographs. We particularly enjoyed Mount Teide, the National Park, the picturesque village of Masca, the dragon tree and the jungle. Gregory also took us to a two wonderful cafes, off the beaten track. I would highly recommend him and have many happy memories from our excursion.  Hide review

Gregory provides just the right amount of great commentary and context to the area and Tenerife as a whole. We loved trying the local coffee in Candelaria and seeing the remote villages in the very north but Anaga’s forests really steal the show. We had loads of opportunities to stop and enjoy the view. Gregory was fantastic at taking pictures of us along the way and was happy to show us places off the well beaten tourist path - highly recommend!  Hide review

He picked us up from our hotel at 11 a.m. and gave us a great tour of Tenerife, showing us the volcanoes and explaining the history of them, then we had a tour of the northern parts of the island seeing some spectacle scenery. A great lunch in a local place that I am sure most tourists would not see. All in all a great day. Thanks Greg  Hide review

If you have the chance to make a swimming stop, I would definitely recommend to check out the beach of Las Teresitas. The place is really beautiful, and Gregory, your tour guide, will take you first up the cliffs to make some breathtaking views/pictures and then you can enjoy the clean and calm water and sand of the beach. Gregory will tell you so many interesting things during the trip that you will want to know more and will come back, just like we did. VIP private tour in Tenerife is the ideal way to discover the island.  Hide review
