Highlights
Description
Explore the limestone caves around PHANG NHA Bay with an experienced guide and learn about their discovery by John Gray in 1989. Travel by specially-made inflatable canoe as you duck into low-hanging ledges and uncover hidden worlds on this thrilling water-bound adventure.
Catch a ride from your PHUKET hotel and head to the port, where you can climb aboard and grab a plate to fill up on a tasty buffet lunch of Thai specialties. Cruise as you eat, making your way to the canoeing launch site in a modern power boat.
Reach the first site of the day and hop onto your inflatable canoe, letting your guide take care of the paddling while you enjoy stunning views of the surrounding limestone karsts. Find out how erosion has carved these monolithic structures out of the sea over the years, and then duck into hidden caves, known as hongs, keeping your eyes peeled for sure-footed macaque monkeys and bright blue kingfishers that call this area home.
Back on the boat, enjoy a delicious seafood dinner and watch the sunset before exploring your last cave at twilight. See how the atmosphere of these tucked away geologic wonders change in the fading light, and then return to the boat for your trip back to the dock and your hotel transfer.

Local operators have so far gained access to dozens of hongs between Phang Nga and Krabi to the south, which you can visit and enjoy on a Phuket kayaking trip. Each hong tends to have its own distinct character, and it's easy to spend days, even a week, visiting island after island. • Admission Ticket Included.

Koh Panak Cave - Make your own Krathong & have dinner on the boat - Float the self-made Krathong in the cave of Phanak Island - See phosphorescent plankton - Kayak in Panak Cave Loy Krathong Day is one of the most popular festivals of Thailand celebrated annually on the Full-Moon Day of the Twelfth Lunar Month. It takes place at a time when the weather is fine as the rainy season is over and there is a high water level all over the country. The word “Loy” means “to float”, and “Krathong” means lotus-shaped vessel made of banana leaves. Loy Krathong is, therefore the floating of an illuminated leaf bowl. But nowadays some krathongs are made of coloured paper. A krathong usually contains a candle, three joss sticks, some flowers and coins.
