Description

Discovery Bangkok Chinatown Half Day Tour

According to this tour, you will find youself in the Bangkok's Chinatown which is one of the most authentic and original spots in Bangkok. When I was quite young, Yaowarat (Main Street of Chinatown) is one of my favorite areas for strolling. There are a lot of tiny lanes and narrow alleyways which have its charming for exploration. Things like the lively markets in several lanes and sois, for example, Plangnuem, Issaranupheub. Other interesting atmosphere here include the colorful shrine of the worshipers prayed at Wat Mangkon Kamalawat which is regarded as the Bangkok's most important Chinese temple. Moreover, Yaowarat road at night time, with abundance of tasty food stalls and restaurants opening up and electric neon lights shining the air until the wee hours.

Regarding the Wat Mangkon Kamalawat (Lengnoeiyi), this is the largest and most important Chinese Buddhist temple in Bangkok, Thailand. It hosts celebrations of a number of year-round events, such as, Chinese New Year, Chinese vegetarian festival, etc. Wat Mangkon Kamalawat was founded as a Mahayana Buddhist temple in 1871. It was built in a classic Chinese architectural style with typical sweeping tiled roofs decorated with animal and floral motifs. Furthermore, we will visit the Talad Noi which is an ethnic Chinese community on the edge of Bangkok’s Chinatown and on the bank of the Chao Phraya River. It is well known for a strong community feel, old buildings, and alleyways bursting with street art and second-hand car parts. Talad Noi is the original Chinese settlements in the Rattanakosin period. There is a diversity of ethnicity and religion due to the relocation of Portuguese and Chinese communities
