Temples are the spiritual center for people all walks of life either rich or poor, disability or normal. Just a few minutes walking distance from it, we will see the Ban Bat Community. They were well known for creating monk's alms bowls which required skills of handcrafting and manual labor. This tradition has lasted to the modern day. Locals have established the Ban Bat Community who preserves the monk's alms bowl tradition and sells alms bowls to any body who are in need. The unique characteristic of Ban Bat’s alms-bowls is they sound like a big bell when being knocked. This sound will always be heard every time when entering this community.
Other than that we will have a chance to admire the Wat Suthat Thepwararam which is a Buddhist temple in Bangkok, Thailand. It is a royal temple of the first grade, one of ten such temples in Bangkok. Construction began by the First King in 1807. This temple contains the Phra Sri Sakyamuni Buddha Image. At the lower terrace of the base, 28 Chinese Towers are located which represent to the Buddha born on this earth. In 2005, the temple was nominated to UNESCO for consideration as a future World Heritage Site.
Further down-south from this temple is “Wat-Rachanadda” this temple was constructed in mid 19th century and registered as a historical site in 1951. The beauty of the temple catches the eye of the people passing by is the metal castle. King Rama III graciously ordered to build a metal castle but it was completed in the reign of King Rama V the Great. The Loha Prasat is considered the first metal castle in Thailand. It was constructed into a 7-stories building with 37 castle spires, which refers to the 37 Bodhipakkhiya Dharma in Buddhism. The top of the castle on the 7th floor is where the Buddha’s relics are enshrined.
And the last but not least, Talad Noi is an ethnic Chinese community on the edge of Bangkok’s Chinatown located on the bank of the Chao Phraya River. It is well known for a strong community feel, old buildings, and alleyways bursting with street art and used car parts. Recently many cool hidden cafes have opened and it has become very popular with the young and old who visit there.
