1: Pick-Up & Scenic Drive to Materuni Village (8:30 AM - 9:30 AM)

Your adventure begins with a morning pick-up from your hotel in Moshi. From there, enjoy a scenic drive through banana plantations and rural landscapes, with the stunning backdrop of Mount Kilimanjaro (if the weather is clear). Along the way, your guide will share insights about the Chagga people and their way of life.

2: Coffee Tour & Traditional Brewing Experience (9:30 AM - 11:00 AM)

Upon arrival at Materuni Village, you’ll receive a warm welcome from the Chagga community. Begin your journey with a guided coffee tour, where you’ll visit a local farm and learn about the traditional coffee-making process, from bean cultivation to roasting and grinding. Engage in hands-on participation as you pound, grind, and brew your own cup of coffee, all while enjoying lively Chagga songs and dances. Finally, savor a freshly brewed cup of organic Arabica coffee, known for its rich aroma and smooth taste.

3: Guided Hike to Materuni Waterfall (11:00 AM - 12:30 PM)

After the coffee tour, set off on a guided hike through the lush rainforests and rolling hills surrounding Materuni. The moderate-level hike (about 45-60 minutes) takes you through scenic trails filled with exotic flora and fauna, banana and avocado farms, and spectacular views of the surrounding valleys. Your guide will share interesting facts about the local plant life and traditional Chagga farming methods along the way.

4: Arrival at Materuni Waterfall & Refreshing Swim (12:30 PM - 1:30 PM)

Reaching Materuni Waterfall, you’ll be greeted by a stunning 90-meter cascade plunging into a crystal-clear natural pool. Here, you can take in the breathtaking views, capture stunning photos, and swim in the refreshing waters (bring a swimsuit if you’d like to take a dip!). The tranquil atmosphere, combined with the cool mist from the waterfall, makes this a perfect place to relax and connect with nature.

6: Traditional Chagga Lunch & Local Cuisine Experience (1:30 PM - 3:00 PM)

After your refreshing time at the waterfall, hike back to the village and enjoy a delicious traditional Chagga lunch. The meal typically includes:
