7 Days Lemosho Route Mount Kilimanjaro Climbing
The Lemosho route is one of our preferred routes due to its low traffic, beautiful scenery and a high summit success rate. The Kilimanjaro Lemosho route starts off from the west, beginning with a long drive from Moshi to Londorossi Gate. From there, the first two days are spent trekking through the lush rainforest to Shira Plateau. We recommend a minimum of 7 days to attempt this route but 8 days is preferable for better acclimatization and summit success. The 7 Days Lemosho route Kilimanjaro joins the Machame route at Shira 2 Camp and then follows the same route through the southern circuit and descending via Mweka Gate. The 7 days Lemosho Route trek will have 6 nights and 7 days on Mount Kilimanjaro. Join us for unforgettable Adventure!

Day 0: Arrival in Moshi for the 7-Day Lemosho Route Arrive in Moshi, Tanzania. Meet your trekking company and guide for a briefing about the trek and an equipment check. Rest and get ready for the climb.
Day 1: Lemosho Gate (2,360m) to Mti Mkubwa Camp (2,820m) Drive from your hotel to Lemosho Gate. Start your trek through the lush rainforest and reach Mti Mkubwa Camp (Big Tree Camp) for dinner and an overnight stay.

Day 2: Mti Mkubwa Camp (2,820m) to Shira 2 Camp (3,900m) Ascend through heather and moorland, enjoying scenic views as you reach the Shira Plateau. Continue trekking to Shira 2 Camp for dinner and an overnight stay.

Day 3: Shira 2 Camp (3,900m) to Barranco Camp (3,950m) Traverse alpine desert terrain beneath the Southern Icefields and descend into the Great Barranco Valley, reaching Barranco Camp for dinner and an overnight stay.

Day 4: Barranco Camp (3,950m) to Karanga Camp (4,035m) Climb the Barranco Wall, an exhilarating part of the trek, and continue through alpine desert landscapes to Karanga Camp for dinner and an overnight stay.

Day 5: Karanga Camp (4,035m) to Barafu Camp (4,680m) Trek to Barafu Camp, the base for your summit attempt, and enjoy views of the surrounding peaks. Have an early dinner and rest up for the final ascent.

Day 6: Barafu Camp (4,680m) to Uhuru Peak (5,895m) and Mweka Camp (3,100m) Start your summit attempt around midnight, passing Stella Point to reach Uhuru Peak. Then, descend to Mweka Camp for dinner and an overnight stay.

Day 7: Mweka Camp (3,100m) to Mweka Gate (1,640m) and Return to Moshi Descend through the rainforest to Mweka Gate. Complete paperwork, receive your summit certificate, and transfer back to Moshi for a well-earned celebration.
