Mikumi national park it is one of the national park which saves the time of tourists who come from Zanzibar and Dar es salaam. Mikumi came from the trees that are like coconuts the natives gave them name mikumi which means many coconut trees. the park have many varieties of wild animals and birds that shows the beauty of the nature, From Dar es salaam to mikumi is about 340 kilometers by private car but also the park can be accessed by airplane there is airstrip that can be used by clients. park have animals like African Elephant, Buffalos, leopards, cheetah, zebras, thompson gazelle, hyenas, lions, hippos, crocodiles and many other animals and birds.
