This Serengeti safari gives you the chance to witness the annual wildebeest great migration along the Mara River. You will be immersed in the unspoiled nature of Africa, see wild animals up close, and take photos of the wonderful landscapes of Tanzania.

This itinerary takes you to the north of Serengeti for a chance to witness the Great Migration. While the sight of hundred thousands of wildebeest and zebras thunder across the plains is spectacular, the Mara River crossing is absolutely one of the most breathtaking natural wonders in Africa. Dust exploding, lions stalking a moveable feast, gigantic crocodiles and fast flowing wild rivers await. It is sensational, impressive and dramatic at the same time.

Day 0: Arrival
You will be picked from airport to hotel in Arusha.
Overnight: Venus Premier Hotel.

Day 1: Arusha to Serengeti National Park (Central Serengeti)
Fuel up with an early breakfast before embarking on a picturesque drive across the Ngorongoro Conservation Area then route to the iconic Serengeti National Park. Enter through Naabi Hill Gate and embark on exhilarating game drives across the vast plains of the Serengeti, encountering an abundance of wildlife along the way.

Day 2: Central Serengeti to Northern Serengeti (Maasai Mara)
After breakfast, we head towards the far northern reach of the Serengeti
National Park, also known as the Wagakuria. We will do a game drive en route
from the Lobo area to the Wagakuria area. As we head north, good sightings
of giraffes, plain game, herds of buffalo, and elephants can often be seen. We
arrive in time for lunch at the lodge and after lunch, we will enjoy an afternoon game drive in the area.

Day 3: Northern Serengeti (Maasai Mara) – Full day game drive
Spend these two days immersing yourself in the breathtaking landscapes and
prolific wildlife of Northern Serengeti. Traverse the Lobo, Bologonja, and
Kogatende areas, including a visit to the Tanzanian side of the Mara River
Banks in anticipation of witnessing the dramatic Wildebeest migration
crossings. Keep your camera ready for sightings of predators and big cats
engaged in thrilling wildlife interactions.

Day 4: Northern Serengeti – Central Serengeti - After breakfast, enjoy a full-day game drive in the Wagakuria area. Resident wildlife numbers are exceptionally high in this area of the park, with pride of lions up to 30 strong, however, from Mid-July to October the area turns into a wildlife paradise. The key feature is the Mara River and it is not uncommon to see the herds cross the Mara River north on one day and then back south a few days later. Please take note –Finding a crossing is very difficult and is sometimes a matter of luck. A herd can be seen next to the river and only decide to cross or not cross until a couple of days later

Day 5: Serengeti to Ngorongoro Conservation
After breakfast, embark on a leisurely drive through Central Serengeti, soaking in the enchanting scenery and encountering wildlife end route. Depart the Serengeti via Naabi Hill Gate and journey to the Ngorongoro Crater Rim. Optionally, visit the Olduvai Gorge or a Maasai Village (additional cost) before settling in for dinner and overnight at Rhino Lodge. All meals are provided

Day 6: Ngorongoro crater then back to Arusha.
Rise early for a memorable descent down the Ngorongoro Crater walls to the
crater floor, often dubbed the "Eden of Africa." Spend the day immersed in
thrilling game drives within this natural wonder, with opportunities to spot
the renowned Big Five - elephants, lions, leopards, buffaloes, and rhinos. Later
in the afternoon, journey back to Arusha town where your unforgettable safari
comes to a close. Breakfast and Lunch included.
