13 Days Tanzania safari with Zanzibar

Day 1: Arrival at Kilimanjaro International Airport

Meet and greet on arrival at Kilimanjaro Airport. Transfer to Arusha to check in at Africa Safari Arusha base on bed and breakfast.

Day 2: Depart to Tarangire National Park

Depart to Tarangire National Park, continue for game drive with packed lunch. Late afternoon transfer To Karatu check in at Sumawe Suite for dinner and overnight.

Sumawe Suites is located on the outer part of Karatu town about midway between Lake Manyara and the Ngorongoro Crater, 2 hrs drive from Arusha town, 2 hrs drive from Serengeti, 30 mins drive from Ngorongoro crater.

Sumawe Suites have 14 (fourteen) specious rooms that can accommodate up to 30 people. All rooms have kitchenettes where our guests can prepare their own tea or coffee, sitting area, TV, Wi-Fi free, mosquito-netted twin or king beds and 24/7 hot shower. Our restaurant serves both local and international cuisine.

Tarangire Here, you’re sure to see plenty of impala, elephants, warthogs, waterbuck, zebra, wildebeest, and giraffe. Look out for tiny dik-dik in the underbrush and dwarf mongoose in abandoned termite mounds. Look up to find baboon, monkey, and, if you’re lucky, tree-climbing lion. After hot lunch in Tarangire Safari oLodge, you will enjoy the beautiful views over the Tarangire River, where large families of elephants often gather. This is the perfect spot for a day game drive.

Day 3: Game drive in Ngorongoro Crater

Early morning breakfast, descend to Ngorongoro Crater for Game drive with packed lunch. Game drive in Ngorongoro starts in the morning. Explore the largest caldera which is a home of over 25,000 animals. The game drive is allowed up to 4:30pm. Descending down into the Ngorongoro Crater through a lush highland forest, with magnificent birdlife to be spotted among the different tree species. Once on the grassy crater floor, you may discover a large variety of grazing herbivores, as well as the predators that are attracted by this abundant supply of prey. Depending on the time of year, you may see huge flocks of pink flamingo around the shores of the shallow Lake Magadi, while the surrounding swamp is inhabited by hippo. In the afternoon continue to Serengeti National Park, check in for dinner and overnight at Africa Safari Serengeto Ikoma, in Tents

Day 4 and 5: Game drive in Serengeti National Park

After breakfast, you will have full days’ game drive explore Serengeti National Park with packed lunch, a home to a big five, wildebeest’s migration and amazing game viewing. Dinner and overnight at Africa Safari Serengeti Ikoma

Africa Safari Serengeti Ikoma is a comfortable safari accommodation located within the Serengeti Ecosystem and only 300 metres from the National Park boundary, but within the Game Controlled Area of the Tanzanian Wildlife Authority (TAWA).

Located between Serengeti Seronera, Grumeti and Ikorongo Game Reserves the location is perfect for exploring the Serengeti and all that there is to do in one of the country's largest National Parks. Due to its proximity to the Grumeti River, Africa Safari Serengeti Ikoma has a backyard full of animals and the Great Migration is there several months of the year.

Serengeti, The heart of the Serengeti National Park delivers superb game viewing throughout the year and is home to a great selection of safari camps and lodges. The area offers good access to all the Wildebeest Migration hotspots and supports a high density of plains game, leopard, cheetah and lion.

You will start with a morning game drive, you will have the opportunity to look for wildlife species like giraffes, wildebeests, zebras, gazelles, lions, leopards, elands, hippos, cheetahs and others. Also, you will look out for herds of wildebeest around the savannah plains.

Enjoy your lunch in the bush and later continue with afternoon game drive following the herds of wildebeests.

Day 6: Depart to Zanzibar

Early breakfast, then drive to Seronera Airstrip for your flight to Zanzibar depart at 11:00. 12:30 meet on arrival in Zanzibar. Your drive will take you to Uroa for your check in at Paradise Beach Resort base on dinner and breakfast.

Day 7 to 12 Days at leisure in Zanzibar

6 Days at leisure in Uroa. Dinner and overnight at Paradise Beach Resort

Day 13:

Enjoy the beach. Late transfer to the Airport for your flight back home
