Description
Open Water Diver Course
Our diving school works with the largest and best known diving federations PADI and SSI. By completing a course with us, you will receive a certificate that will be easily recognised in any dive centre in the world, wherever you choose to dive. A diving course is an exciting adventure that will help you open the door to another world. When we dive, we not only observe underwater life but also discover new possibilities: we feel the sensation of weightlessness for the first time, we hover in the water column and feel as if we are flying. Joining a huge community of people who are passionate about diving is easy. Sign up for a diving course, and at the end of your training you will be able to dive in completely different places in the world, and each dive will cost much less.
Duration: 2-3 days.
Upon completion of the course, divers are authorised to dive with a partner to depths of up to 18m. The price includes PADI or SSI Open Water Diver certification, theoretical e-learning, a shallow water lesson and 4 ocean dives.
If you don't have enough time to complete the full course, you can opt for the PADI/SSI Scuba Diver course, which is a shortened version of the OWD course and only takes 1 day. You can then upgrade your license to Open Water Diver at any PADI dive center in the world. The Scuba Diver license allows you to dive to depths of up to 12 meters.
Bring a towel, a swimsuit and drinks. You can leave your personal belongings at the dive center. Each participant is provided with a warm diving suit and full equipment.
We provide a transfer from your hotel 20-30 minutes before the start of the program and give advance notice of the car's arrival time. A trip from Callao Salvaje to El Medano and back costs 2 Euros per passenger. From Los Gigantes, Alcala, Playa San Juan, Abama - 15 Euros per car.
We only pick up guests from the southern part of the island.

This course is the first step and the most famous diving course in the world. The OWD certificate allows you to dive with a partner to depths of up to 18 metres anywhere in the world. The course takes place over 2 days and consists of 3 parts:
- Theory: you will learn the equipment, safety basics and basic rules on how to move underwater. You can comfortably complete this part at home a few days before the course starts, from your computer.
- Underwater and surface exercises: these exercises will help you to feel confident underwater and to cope with the different types of problems that can occur during a dive.
- 4 dives: once we have finished the exercises, we will make 2 dives to a depth of 12 meters and 2 more to a depth of 18 meters, where we will continue to practice everything we have learned before.
