Doñana is a vast area and at least 2 days are needed to visit the most interesting points. In the west we visit El Rocio and the river La Rocina which enters the “Marsh Mother”, an astonishing birding spot when it is wet. Nearby, there are several visitor’s centres with nice footpaths and hides where we can observe many varieties of waterfowl and aquatic birds. We start from the Bird Centre of SEO/Birdlife in El Rocio to walk through the edge of the National Park of Doñana in the province of Huelva, west of Andalucia. El Rocio is located 45 minutes both to the south-west of Seville City and the east of Huelva City.

We start from the Bird Centre of SEO/Birdlife in El Rocio to walk through the edge of the National Park of Doñana in the province of Huelva, west of Andalucia. El Rocio is located 45 minutes both to the south-west of Seville City and the east of Huelva City. The duration of the trip depends on the weather, the numbers of birds that come across and the interest in the special species. Normally we will spend 4 hours and walk around 7 Km.
