What are payment options to pay my Booking Deposit?

You can pay your Booking Deposit with:

  • Credit or Debit Card (VISA, Master Card, American Express)
  • PayPal
How do I pay my Booking?

Your Total payment for a tour, activity, accommodation or a service Suppier always consist of 2 parts:

- Booking Deposit

At the time of booking you are paying just a Booking Deposit. Booking Deposit is a partial payment you pay in advance through TripsPoint securing your order, so both you and tour, activity, accommodation or a service Supplier are sure the booking is serious and secured by the Booking Deposit.

- Remaining Balance

After your order confirmed you pay the Remaining Balance directly to the tour, activity, accommodation or a service Supplier as the second part of your payment on the beginning of booked tour, activity, accommodation or a service Suppier.

Dividing payment into the 2 parts allows you to books tours, activities, holiday accommodations or rental services a few months in advance without paying full amount, so you can perfectly plan your travels and holidays without missing availability at the last moment.

Does TripsPoint store my credit card data in the system?

No. For security reasons, TripsPoint never store your credit card data in the system.

Would I be able to pay my Booking Deposit with multiple credit cards?

No, at the time of booking you are able to use only one credit card.

At the same time, if you wish to do a few bookings, you can do each booking separately and use different credit cards for each booking.

There was an error processing my credit card - what I have to do?

TripsPoint transaction system is fully automated and 100% secure. If you are continue to see a credit card error message, we recommend you contact your bank and check, if the card is charged.

If the card is charged you can contact our Support Team to solve the problem.

If the card is not charged, you can try again to do a new booking from the beginning using another card.

Is my credit card safe?

Your credit card number and personal information are encrypted for transmission using Secure Sockets Layer (SSL).

TripsPoint never stores your credit card information and complies with the highest standard of PCI (payment card industry) compliance.

Can I book an activity in a different currency?

Yes, and it’s simple. To change the currency, please, scroll to the top right corner of the site, click on the currency you’re currently viewing, and select a new currency from the dropdown menu. The currency can be changed this way any time up until placing the tour in your shopping cart. Once a tour is in your cart, you may change the currency with the drop-down link directly above the Cart total.

If you book in a different currency than your credit card, your bank may charge you a currency conversion fee. This fee is generally per transaction, so you may be charged twice if you request a refund later. Check with your bank about their policy before booking.

What's the Booking Deposit and Remaining Balance?

Booking Deposit is the partial payment you pay at the time of booking to prove and secure your booking, and to get your Voucher (booking confirmation of your booked tour, activity, holiday accommodation or a rental service).

Later, on the day of your booked tour, activity, holiday accommodation or rental service you pay Remaining Balance directly to the Supplier presenting your Voucher.

The paid Booking Deposit and Remaining Balance to pay are always specified in your Voucher.

Can I pay full total amount in advance instead of just Booking Deposit?

No - TripsPoint never charge the full total amount of your booking.

TripsPoint charges the only required Booking Deposit amount as your upfront payment to secure your booking. This allows you to keep and use the most of total amount until the day you redeem your Voucher and commence the booked tour, activity, holiday accommodation or rental service.

How is the required Booking Deposit calculated?

The required Booking Deposit is different for each tour, activity, holiday accommodation or rental service. The amount of required Booking Deposit depend on TripsPoint agreements with exact provider of a tour, activity, holiday accommodation or rental and there are different conditions set by each provider. Therefore required Booking Deposit is calculated by TripsPoint booking platform for each booking separately and the TripsPoint system shows you required Booking Deposit for each booking separately depend on the tour, activity, holiday accommodation, rental service and number of participants or rental period and availability.

I have made booking, and paid the required deposit, but when do I pay the remaining amount due?

The Remaining Balance is specified in your Voucher. In your Voucher is also specified the payment method (cash or credit, debit card), currency and amount in that currency. The remaining balance is payable only on the day of meeting, directly to the booked tour, activity, holiday accommodation or rental service Supplier. The amount outlined on the Voucher (emailed to you and dowloadable from your TripsPoint account) is the legal amount due to the Supplier.

In the case if remaining balance is payable by cash we recommend to prepare in advance the exact amount in required currency to pay remaining balance to the Supplier on the day of booked tour, activity, holiday accommodation or rental service.

Can I pay the remaining balance amount due in the local currency?

Remaining balance currency and amount in that currency to pay is specified in your Voucher. You pay the remaining balance in the currency and the amount exactly as it specified in your Voucher.

In the case of different currencies of the Booking Deposit and Remaining Balance TripsPoint Exchanges Rates are applied. Once you've made a booking the exchange rate is fixed at the moment of booking.

I'm getting a credit card error whilst trying to book, what do I do?

TripsPoint booking process is completely automated and all credit card transactions are 100% secure. If your credit card is generating a consistent error, please, verify that your card has not expired or have enough funds of the connected bank account. You may also contact the card issuer to confirm your monthly spending limit has not been exceeded.

Why is the amount charged for my booking deposit different to my credit card statement?

Please allow for currency exchange rate fluctuations. If you believe there has been an error in the billed amount for your booking, please, contact TripsPoint Support Team.
