What's a Pick-Up Point?

Pick-Up point is the place where you start your tour, trip, activity, receive keys for your holiday accommodation or get rental service (rent a car, bike, kayak, boat, motorbike, etc).

There are two different kinds of Pick-Up Point options offered by TripsPoint Suppliers:

  • Hotel Pick-Up Points

In the case of a Hotel Pick-Up Point you are picked up directly from your Hotel, if it's located within pick-up area, defined by the tour, activity, accommodation or rental service Supplier. On the listing page and during the booking process you will see the Hotel Pick-Up area defined by circle on the map. You will be asked to provide your Hotel Name, if it's located within specified pick-up area.

If your Hotel or private accommodation is located outside of defined by Supplier Pick-Up area, please, choose nearest Hotel located within the specified Pick-Up area (circle). In this case you will have to get to selected hotel by yourself by walk, public transport or by taxi. You will have specified your Hotel Pick-Up Point, link to the map showing Pick-Up zone and time of pick-up in your Voucher as well as the local Supplier will provide your meeting location and time when you call to reconfirm your booking.

  • Exact Pick-Up Points

An exact Pick-Up Point as its name says is an exact collection point, specified on the map and where from your tour, activity, holiday accommodation or rental service provider collect you. If there a few exact Pick-Up points, you will be asked to choose one of them at the time of booking.

You will have to get to selected exact Pick-Up Point by yourself by walk, public transport or by taxi. You will have specified your exact Pick-Up Point, link to the map showing exact Pick-Up Point location and time of pick-up in your Voucher as well as the local Supplier will provide your meeting location and time when you call to reconfirm your booking.

What's Hotel Pick-Up and Hotel Pick-Up area?

In the case of the Hotel Pick-Up Point you are picked up directly from your Hotel, if it's located within pick-up area, defined by the tour, activity, accommodation or rental service Supplier. Please, remember, your Hotel must be located within Hotel Pick-Up area, defined by circle on the map showing location on the listing page.

My hotel is outside of the Hotel Pick-Up area. What are my options?

If your Hotel or private accommodation is located outside of defined by Supplier Pick-Up area, please, choose nearest Hotel located within the specified Pick-Up area (circle on the map showing location on the listing page). In this case you will have to get to selected hotel by yourself by walk, public transport or by taxi.

You will have specified your Hotel Pick-Up Point, link to the map showing Pick-Up zone and time of pick-up in your Voucher as well as the local Supplier will provide your meeting location and time when you call to reconfirm your booking.

I try to book, but the system requires my hotel details. What if I have not yet chosen a hotel or am staying in an apartment or having other private accommodation?

If you have not yet booked your hotel, please write ‘NOT BOOKED YET’ or 'PRIVATE ACCOMMODATION' in the Hotel Name field. Once your hotel is booked, please remember to contact the local Supplier directly through TripsPoint Messenger or by phone to provide this information. If you are staying in an apartment or other residence, please, specify this and provide the street address. Please note, pickup and drop-off may not be available from private residences so we recommend contacting the local Supplier directly to confirm these details as well. If pick-up is not available from your location, they will advise you to get to the closest Pick-Up Point.

Local tour operator provides Hotel Pick-Up, but I can't find my Hotel within defined Pick-Up Area. What are my options?

If you can't find your hotel within defined on the map by circle Pick-Up Area you may either:

  • Select an alternative hotel withing the defined Pick-Up area (circle) at checkout and make your way there on the day of tour or activity

OR

  • Contact your tour or activity Supplier directly through TripsPoint Messenger or by phone to make alternate pick-up arrangements. Local contact details will be available on your voucher and in your TripsPoint user Account once your booking is confirmed.

Please be sure to contact the tour or activity Supplier locally either to confirm your exact pick-up time and location.

What do I do, if I cannot find the tour Supplier at my Pick-Up Point?

If you cannot find your tour Supplier's guide or representative at the Pick-Up Point, please, contact Supplier directly as soon as possible using the contact information provided on your Voucher (the same phone number you've called to reconfirm your booking).
