Senegal at its Peak

Day 1: Arrival in Dakar

Upon arrival in Dakar, the capital city of Senegal, you will be welcomed by our guide who will transfer you to your hotel. You can spend the afternoon exploring the city on your own or take a guided tour to visit the African Renaissance Monument, the Dakar Grand Mosque, and the colorful markets.

Day 2: Goree Island and Pink Lake

After breakfast, you will take a ferry to Goree Island, a UNESCO World Heritage site known for its role in the Atlantic slave trade. You will visit the Maison des Esclaves, a museum that tells the story of the island's dark past. After lunch, you will travel to the Pink Lake, known for its stunning pink hues caused by a unique combination of algae and bacteria.

Day 3: Saint Louis and Djoundj National Bird sanctuary

After breakfast, you will leave Dakar and travel north to Saint Louis, the former capital of Senegal. You will visit the Faidherbe Bridge, a historical landmark that connects the island to the mainland, and the Saint Louis Cathedral, one of the oldest cathedrals in West Africa. Day 4: Lompoul Desert

After breakfast, you will leave Saint Louis and travel to the Lompoul Desert, a beautiful expanse of golden sand dunes. You will take a camel ride through the dunes and enjoy a traditional Senegalese lunch before returning to your hotel.

Day 5: Dakar and Pink Lake

After breakfast, you will return to Dakar and visit the IFAN Museum, one of the largest museums in West Africa. You will also visit the Dakar Grand Mosque and the colorful markets. In the afternoon, you will travel back to the Pink Lake to witness the stunning sunset over the lake.

Day 6: Sine Saloum Delta

After breakfast, you will travel to the Sine Saloum Delta, a unique ecosystem that is home to a variety of wildlife and bird species. You will take a boat ride through the mangroves and enjoy a traditional Senegalese lunch in a local village

Day 7: Dakar and Ngor Island

After breakfast, you will visit Ngor Island, a peaceful and picturesque island located just off the coast of Dakar. You will take a boat ride to the island and spend the day exploring its sandy beaches, crystal-clear waters, and quaint fishing village. In the afternoon, you will return to Dakar and enjoy a farewell dinner at a local restaurant.

Day 8: Departure from Dakar

After breakfast, you will be transferred to the airport for your departure flight.
