Show full review ➤ We were a party of seven, ranging in age from 8 to 72. We found the tour highly interesting, and our guide, Anda, was highly knowledgeable. She brought Romanian history to life, and also shared her personal experiences and that of her parents when describing life before and after communism. At no point did we feel rushed and there was plenty of time to do what we wanted. The guide and driver were very accommodating, so much so that we did not get home until 11.30pm as they were happy for us to have a late meal in Brasov. We were worried about the time but they assured us there was no problem. It was wonderful to see the Romanian countryside and Transylvania is beautiful. The driver was also very kind in helping the older ones in our party in and out of the minibus. All in all a great experience and one we would all highly recommend. As tour organiser, I would also add that the tour operator maintained constant communication from the time of booking up to the tour day, which was most reassuring. Our only suggestions are as follows: Tour parties should be advised to bring their own lunch/snacks/drinks/refreshments as it's a long day! They should also be advised about the paucity of toilets at the castles, and be warned that the queues are long in busy periods. The only other suggestion is that the guide should use a mic in the minibus so that she could tell all of us together the history of each castle before we visited. She often had to repeat herself to individuals on a one to one basis when we split up on site! Ten out of ten for this trip! Highly recommended! Hide review
