On our private tours a professional driver and guide will pick you up at your accomodation on a premium vehicle with bottled water and Wifi.
This specific wine tour takes place in the Douro Valley, the oldest demarcated wine-growing region in the world. It takes 1:30 minutes driving from Porto to the Douro Valley, a comfortable and scenic ride on the highway. On the way we stop in a beautiful little village called Amarante, so you can appreciatte it beauty and have time to stretch the legs an drink a good coffee. On this private tour we always offer a wine tasting in a beautiful winery, and a boat trip of 1h in the Douro river, you can choose to have the wine tasting before lunch or after lunch, same goes for the boat trip. Since its a private tour we have the freedom to go to any other place you want to visit, or do any other activity if its available. For lunch (on your own) our driver/guide can call and book a table for you at a winery or a local traditional restaurant, he knows all the places and can give you the best advices according to your preferences. After lunch we'll do the wine tasting or the boat trip and drive back to Porto. Enjoy the ride on the beautiful roads of the valley, fall in love with the beautiful scenery, lush grapes and wonderful wine, create beautiful memories on a fantastic day trip.
