Day 1: Departure from Cusco and Journey Through the Andes
On this day, you'll have the opportunity to admire beautiful traditional Quechua communities, stunning Andean landscapes, and sites of interest like the pre-Inca cemetery of Ninamarca and the picturesque village of Paucartambo. You'll also witness the striking courtship dance of the Andean Cock-of-the-Rock, Peru's national bird. The day concludes at Cabaña Dorado, where you'll enjoy dinner and an exciting night walk to observe nocturnal wildlife.
Day 2: Exploration of the Reserved Zone and Matshiguenka House.
This day takes you to the Reserved Zone of Manu National Park, where you'll navigate the mysterious Manu River and have the chance to see incredible wildlife, including macaws, capybaras, monkeys, and, if you're lucky, even jaguars. You'll spend the night at Matshiguenka House Lodge.
Day 3: Visit to Cocha Salvador and Cocha Otorongo.
You'll explore Cocha Salvador Lake, known for hosting giant otters and a wide variety of birds. In the afternoon, you'll venture into the primary Amazon rainforest and visit Cocha Otorongo, with its canopy observation tower. You'll spend the night at Machiguenga House Lodge.
Day 4: Return to Cabaña Dorado and Visit to the Tapir Clay Lick.
The day begins with a boat trip on the Manu River, with additional opportunities for wildlife spotting. Then, you'll visit the village of Boca Manu and the mammal clay lick, where you can observe tapirs and other animals. In the evening, there will be a night walk in the forest to see fascinating creatures. Optionally, you can spend the night on the clay lick platform.
Day 5: Visit to the Macaw Clay Lick and Return to Cusco.
The final day includes a visit to the Macaw Clay Lick to observe these beautiful birds in their natural habitat. Afterward, you'll start the journey back to Cusco, with additional stops for wildlife observation and a cloud forest lunch before arriving in Cusco in the late afternoon or evening."

Quetzals, Trogons, colorful Tangaras, and even monkeys! In the afternoon, we'll reach Salvación, where we'll switch to a more suitable vehicle for our journey to the lowlands of the Amazon, passing through Amazonian villages like Shintuya, home to the Harakbut people. Our day concludes at Cabaña Dorado, located at 500 meters above sea level.
You'll enjoy a delicious dinner, and then we'll venture on a night walk along the cabin's trails to observe nocturnal wildlife.
Today, we enter the famous Reserved Zone of Manu National Park. We'll navigate the enigmatic Manu River, offering you the opportunity to witness extraordinary wildlife in this pristine environment. In the morning, we might visit a clay lick where parrots and macaws enjoy their daily clay feast. Keep your camera ready to capture the
smaller macaws like the Chestnut-fronted Macaw and the rare Blue-headed Macaw. Then, we'll navigate downstream along the Madre de Dios River, surrounded by rich biodiversity, including birds, capybaras, monkeys,
caimans, and, if we're lucky, even the majestic jaguar! Our day culminates at Matshiguenka House Lodge, part of the legendary Matshiguenka culture, where you'll spend the night in double rooms with shared bathrooms.
Today, we'll set sail on a catamaran to explore the famous Cocha Salvador Lake, home to giant otters and an abundance of nesting birds. Keep your binoculars ready for herons, egrets, caimans, terns, skimmers, and the captivating Bald-faced Capuchin and Monk Saki monkeys. In the afternoon, we'll venture into the primary Amazon
rainforest, where you'll experience the unique sensation of being in an ecosystem that has remained unchanged for centuries. We'll also visit Cocha Otorongo, with its 20-meter observation tower in the forest canopy, offering a
stunning view of the lake and its wildlife. You'll spend your second night at Machiguenga House Lodge in double rooms with shared bathrooms.
Our day begins early as we embark on a boat journey along the Manu River. Along the riverbanks, you'll have more opportunities to spot monkeys, caimans, birds, capybaras, and other wildlife. We'll make a brief stop in the village of Boca Manu, the main settlement in Manu, followed by a two-hour boat trip upstream along the Madre de Dios
River to Cabaña Dorado. Upon arrival, we'll take a walk to the mammal clay lick, where we'll observe tapirs, deer monkeys, and other visitors to the lick. Later in the evening, we'll venture on a night walk in the forest to observe
fascinating creatures like frogs, insects, and snakes. You'll have the option to spend the night on the clay lick platform for a truly immersive experience.
After a delicious breakfast, we'll embark on a journey of approximately 10 hours back to Cusco, taking the new Manu communal integration road. Along the way, we'll make stops to continue our wildlife observations and
gradually ascend to the cloud forest. Our adventure concludes with a delicious lunch in the cloud forest, and we'll return to Cusco, arriving around 6 or 7 pm.
