We stroll through the streets, along the canals and royal squares. Wondering why the tower of the Old Church is so lopsided? Want to know why the Delft pottery is blue? We will visit the street where the famous Dutch painter Vermeer was painting. We see the New Church where the Dutch royal family has its grave. We will start our tour at the mainsquare. Here the guide tells you more about the history of the city, the New Church and the cityhall. At this marketsquare is also the statue of Hugo de Groot, this clever guy, is quite famous in the city and in the whole country.
We will leave the square and walk to the Johannes Vermeer museum. This famous painter is wellknown because of his paintings 'the girl with the pearl earring and the milkmaid. Johannes Vermeer was born in Delft.
After checking the historical meathouse, we arrive at the Old Church. The tower is leaning. Ofcourse we will tell you why.
We end the tour at the Prinsenhof. An other historical sight, because here our father of the nation, Willem van Oranje, was killed in 1584.
