Tulip Experience with Keukenhof and Windmills tour from Amsterdam

1: Visit Tulip Experience: Learn everything about the tulips. At the museum, we take you on the tulip’s journey around the world. From its discovery in Kazakhstan around the year 1000 to its current status as an icon of the Netherlands. You will find out all about the tulip and learn in an interactive way about the cycle of bulb cultivation using state-of-the-art machinery and old objects (from before 1950). Follow the story of the tulip through the eyes of the bulb grower!

After the museum, the Experience continues outside and you will step into a beautiful palette of colours. In the show garden, 1 million tulips are planted in 700 different varieties of tulips. All tulip varieties come from our own nursery. The show garden also has a number of special photo points for taking the perfect picture!

At the end of the Tulp Experience you can pick your own tulips for free! Duration approx. 1 hour.

2: Visit Keukenhof Gardens: Enjoy a private trip to the most beautiful flowers of Holland at the Keukenhof. Over 7 million bulbs will bloom this spring, with a total of 800 varieties of tulips. A unique, unforgettable experience! You have skip the line tickets so you can go directly inside the Keukenhof gardens. In the Keukenhof you have free time for yourself to explore the largest flower garden of the world! Duration approx. 2 hours.

3: Visit the Windmills park: Discover the great Dutch Windmills and see them from inside. There are 7 windmills left at the Zaanse Schans and a few are open to visit. You can see the paint windmill (that is where Rembrandt the great Dutch artist purchased his paint), a saw mill, a spice mill and many more. There is also a possibility to take nice pictures of the windmills. Duration approx. 90 minutes.

Admission to the windmill park is included in this tour and also an entrance ticket for 1 windmill of your choice is included in this tour.

4: Visit the Clogs maker: Learn more about the Dutch wooden shoe making and see a demonstration how they make the Dutch clogs now. There is a possibility to buy the wooden shoes, the clogs and other souvenirs in the wooden shoe factory as well. Duration approx. 30 minutes.

5: Visit Jacobs Hoeve Cheese farm: Learn more about the Dutch wooden shoe making and see a demonstration how they make the Dutch clogs now. There is a possibility to buy the wooden shoes, the clogs and other souvenirs in the wooden shoe factory.

See a real Dutch farm with cows and baby cows. You will get an explanation how the Henri Willig farm makes their cheese from the milk of the Jersey cows. They have an automatic milking robot and see how they milk their cows automatically.

After the cows it is time to taste their special Gouda cheese. You can eat as much cheese as you want for free! There are more than 30 different types of cheese so enjoy!

There is a possibility to buy the cheese and if you don't have enough room in your suitcase you can let them ship the cheese to your country. Duration approx. 45 minutes.
