You will pass through different villages of the Tamang ethnic group. Gatlang village is one of the stopovers for the famous trekking trail Tamang heritage trek. During this trek, you will get a chance to get interact with Nepali culture, Tamang people and the lifestyle of people living in the Himalayas. Please note that Yoga is practised early morning or evening on empty stomach, it is not practised when tired when walking in the mountain and the teacher must be an expert on the subject. Otherwise one may have an adverse effect. We provide this Yoga course for the first three mornings in Kathmandu, during which we offer short sightseeing tours of Kathmandu in the afternoon. Itinerary
Day 1: Arrival in Kathmandu (1295m.). After your arrival at the airport in Kathmandu, you will be greeted by one of our representatives who will later transfer you to the hotel. After hotel check-in, you can decide whether you would like to have a relaxing rest at the hotel or hang around the streets of Kathmandu (If you have leisure time). You will be briefed about our next day’s travel plan by our company representative. O/N you stay at the hotel. Day 2: Kathmandu to drive safer Besi ( 1600m.) 7 hrs. Trek down to Syabru Besi via Sherpa Gaon. The upper part of the trail is more beautiful for the panoramic view of mountains and green hill views. This path is broader and remains sunny through the different Sherpa and Tamang villages. The first half part of the trail is gradually down and then the trail does steeply descent to the Syabru Besi. Day 3: Syabru Besi to Gatlang 2337m. 6 hrs A dirt track zig-zags to the west up to Bahun Danda Pass and then down to the Tamang settlement of Gatlang, a cornerstone village on the Tamang Heritage Trail or hike to Gatlang by way of Chawatar. Gatlang is a Tamang village with unique customs and craftsmanship in a magnificent setting. Above lies Parvati Kund, popular during Janai Purnima when thousands of pilgrims are attracted to the sacred pond and nearby temple. Day 4: Gatlang to Somdang 3271 m. 6 hrs The trail ascends through pine and rhododendron forest to a lunch point of Yuri Kharka before continuing to Khurphu Bhanjyang and then dropping down to the Somdang River, the border between Raceway and Dhading districts. Day 5: Somdang – Tipling by crosing Pangsang Pass (3842 m). Pasang Kharka is a viewpoint southwest of Somdang village with a broad panorama of the surrounding terrain. To the north are the soaring peaks of Manaslu and the Ganesh Himal Range. The large meadow is graced with a giant entry gateway and is a sensational location for camping and taking in the breathtaking scenery. The whole Ganesh Himal region is blessed with abundant herbal plants. Day 6: Tipling rest days. Today of the Ruby valley Trek visit Villages, we begin our hike through descending hill and Health post and then ascending trail to Tipling (1875m), a small village surrounded by Tamang which offers the spectacular view of Ganesh Himal Range. Overnight at Shertung. Day 7: Tipling –Sertung(1900m.) 4 hrs. On the seventh day of the Ruby valley Trek, we begin our trek through descending trail to Adha Khola and then ascending trail to Shertung (1875m), a small village surrounded by Tamang which offers the spectacular view of Ganesh Himal Range. Overnight at Shertung. Day 8: Starting to Chalish Today after breakfast Visit Tatopani (2 hrs walk) and back to Chalish Gaon (1646m) for 4-5hrs Today after breakfast we walk for about 2 hours for Tatopani a natural hot spring and spend some time at the hot spring and wash away all our aches. Then begin our trek toward Chalish Gaon (1646m) which take about 4-5 hours. Overnight at Chalish Gaon. Day 09: Trek Chalish Gaon to Jharlang (3020m) for 5-6 hrs Experiencing the Ruby valley Trek, we continue our trek from Chalish following the trail that passes through Mani Danda from where great views of Ganesh Himal Range can be seen. We continue to trek following the trail that passes through Lishne jungle and Chhapchyat village and arrives at Jharlang (3020m) with the walk for about 5-6 hours. Overnight at Jharlang. Day 10: Jharlang Gaun – Darkha Phedi – Dhading Besi – Kathmandu. Early in the after breakfast we trek for an hour and reach Darkha Phedi (1349m) from where we will catch a local bus and drive towards Dhading Besi and then finally to Kathmandu. Overnight at Kathmandu. Day 11: Final departure. Your Ruby Valley Trek terminates today. You will be escorted to the airport by one of our representatives and there we exchange our last good-byes. You will be travelling towards your further destination with all the memories you had during your tour. We hope you had a lovely time with us.
