Day 1: On arrival at Kathmandu airport, 1,340 m meet our staff and transfer to hotel. Landing at Kathmandu and Nepal international airport, where our guide or staff receives you for a short drive to your respective hotels in the hub of Kathmandu. After checking into your nice rooms with rest after a jet-lag, and then rendezvous with another group member of Poon Hill and Annapurna base camp trekking, where our guide/leader will brief you with information regarding the treks, about hotels and lodge with Nepalese culture, do’s and don’ts.Evening enjoys grand welcome dinner in typical Nepalese restaurants with various native cultures as entertainment. Day 2: At Kathmandu options for the tour with time for trek preparations. At Kathmandu as the free day where one can join in our interesting sightseeing tour as options, as the capital Kathmandu of Nepal steeped with historical and religious monuments of world heritage sites. Afternoon at leisure and preparation for Poon Hill and Annapurna Base Camp trekking, starting next early morning with overland or flight to beautiful Pokhara. Day 3: Drive to Fly to Pokhara 860 m - 06 hrs ride and 30 mins via air. As per group size taking a coach or in tourist standard bus for the interesting overland journey to reach Nepal Mid-West at Pokhara, where a drive leads to much warmer farm areas past many towns and villages facing views of snow-capped peaks, and then reach scenic Pokhara and check into a nice hotel close to calm Phewa Lake. (Flying options of 30 mins panoramic flight to land at Pokhara from Kathmandu). Day 4: Drive to Bhirethati /Nayapul walk to Tirkhedhunga 1,440 m - 05 hrs. After a pleasant overnight stop in Pokhara with views of Annapurna Himalaya mountains and Machhapuchare Himal 'Fish Tail peak', after breakfast drive beyond Pokhara to commence our first day walks. The journey leads with views of Annapurna heading past farm villages and towns and then reaching at the bank of Modi River where walk leads to Bhirethati, one of the most impressive villages around the Annapurna area. From here the walk starts on old Trans Himalayan Salt Trade route heading past farm villages and with a slow climb to reach at Tirkhedhunga for overnight stop within beautiful waterfalls close to your lodge. Day 5: Trek to Ghorepani 2,856 m via Ulleri village - 06 hrs. Starting morning walk with steep climb on stone-paved steps to reach large Ulleri village with views of Annapurna peaks, Ulleri an interesting farm village of mixed tribes Gurung and Magar, from here on slow winding gradual walks into cool serene woodland to reach our destination at Ghorepani, a scenic village with blue painted houses serving as lodge and guest houses, situated within green rhododendron forest as well on Old Trans Himalayan Salt Trade Route. Day 6: Hike to Poon Hill 3,210 m and walk to Tadapani 2,635 m - 05 hrs. Morning at the crack of dawn where hour climb takes you at scenic Poon Hill Located above 3,210 m, enjoy glorious sunrise views over the chain of Himalayan mountains including Dhaulagiri, Annapurna, and Manaslu range with majestic Machhapuchare Himal. After a stunning panorama of mountains and catching sunrise views, descend back to lodge at Ghorepani for breakfast, and then continue to walk with a climb into cool rhododendron woodland facing marvellous mountain views to reach at a lonely and isolated spot at Tadapani with many good lodges to stay with grand views of Annapurna peaks. Day 7: Trek to Chomrong 2,170 m - 06 hrs. Enjoying morning views from Tadapani, a pleasant walk leads down-hill within the dense cool forest to reach near Kimrong river valley, where the climb starts to reach farm areas, and then on the gradual winding path paved towards Chomrong village for an overnight stop. Chomrong one of the largest village of Gurung village and last permanent human settlement and village on route Annapurna Base Camp and Sanctuary. Day 8: Trek to Dovan 2,630 m - 06 hrs. From Chomrong downhill to cross a bridge over Chomrong river then climb uphill to Sinuwa danda (ridge) a place with few lodges and shops, from here route leads into deeply forested areas on winding ups and then descend into dense woodland with bamboo grooves to a place called also as Bamboo. A small settlement to cater needs of trekkers with many good lodges located in a river gorge surrounded by a forest of rhododendron-pines and bamboo. After Bamboo walk leads into the green forest with a climb to reach at Dovan for overnight stop an isolated place with few lodges for travellers to stay. Day 09: Trek to Machhapuchare Base Camp 3,700 m - 06 hrs. Slowly adventure heads closer to our main highlight as the walk continues with winding ups into the forest past a lonely place Himalaya Hotel, located next to a large overhanging Hinko Cave, beneath Annapurna South and Huin-Chuli peaks. From Himalaya Hotel downhill towards Modi River than with short climb to reach Deurali where tree lines drop for short alpine bushes, walk leads uphill following Modi river right up to overnight stop at Machhapuchare base camp. Located beneath North Face of Mt. Machhapuchare Himal or ‘Fish Tail’ the unlimbered virgin peaks of Himalaya and well-respected mountains. Day 10: Trek to Annapurna Base Camp (ABC) at 4,130 m - 03 hrs. A short day walk to reach an Annapurna base camp from Machhapuchare where Annapurna Sanctuary starts heading towards base camp, walk begins with short ups to reach almost level ground within a huge field and a plateau on reaching scenic sanctuary, enclosed with a range of peaks soon walk leads to a welcome sign-post on reaching at Annapurna Base Camp above 4,130 m high. Annapurna Base Camp situated beneath towering Mt. Annapurna and range of other peaks of Vara-Shikar, Gangapurna with Annapurna South. Annapurna Base Camp, the only base camp in whole Himalaya region where travellers can find the comfort of nice and cosy lodge with rooms facing views of Annapurna peaks. Day 11: Trek from Base Camp to Bamboo 2,345 m - 06 hrs. Enjoying marvellous times at Annapurna base camp morning leads to long day walk of near six hours with downhill and short ups to reach at Bamboo and back into tree lines within lush green vegetation, staying overnight in one of its simple and good lodges. Day 12: Trek to Jhinu village 1,780m with Hot Spring - 06 hrs. The return journey to Chomrong with ups and downhill trail, from Chomrong hilltop, route diverts to another fresh new trail to reach at nice hill village at Jhinu located on a ridge with grand scenery of rolling hills and mountains. Jhinu provides refreshing natural hot-spring for interested people which is a mere distance downhill of half-hour to the hot spring with two nice warm pools close to raging Modi-River. Day 13: Trek to the road head and drive to Pokhara-05 hrs. Our last day of trekking, where morning leads to a nice pleasant walks downhill and then across a bridge within farm fields to reach at the end of our trek, where the interesting drive takes you at a scenic and beautiful Pokhara for overnight stop by the famous and beautiful Lake Phewa. Day 14: Drive or fly back to Kathmandu afternoon free at leisure. Morning from Pokhara an exciting overland journey back to Kathmandu on route observe Nepalese country life as drive leads past farm villages and towns and to reach Kathmandu around afternoon time, rest of the day free for individual activities and shopping souvenirs. Day 15: International departure for homeward bound. After a wonderful time in Nepal with amazing time on high mountains enjoying grand views walks on Poon Hill and Annapurna Base Camp Trek, with last day in Himalaya, our staff transfers you to the airport for your flight back home or to next port of call.
