Poon Hill Trek with Golden Triangle Tour begins in Kathmandu and includes valley sightseeing. You can explore 4 UNESCO world heritage sites, Pashupatinath, Swayambhunath, Boudhanath and Patan/Kathmandu Durbar Square. After that, we drive or fly to Chitwan, where you can explore the culture, customs, and way of life of the Tharu ethnic population of Nepal and take in the wildlife, jungle safari, and sunset view from the Rapti River. More than 600 different species of birds, Bengal tigers, one-horned rhinoceroses, elephants, gharials, musk deer, and several more plant and animal species may be found in Chitwan National Park. Following two nights in Chitwan, you will go to Pokhara by morning drive, where you can then spend time exploring. The following day, we leave Pokhara and begin the journey by car to Nayapul.
Anyone who can walk normally of any age can complete the easy Poon Hill trip. The route passes past picturesque towns, meadows, rivers, woodlands, and farmland before arriving at Poon Hill. There are numerous mountains that are visible, such as Mount Dhaulagiri (8,167 meters), Mount Annapurna I (8091 meters), Mount Annapurna II (7937 meters), Mount Annapurna III (7555 meters), Mount Annapurna IV (7525 meters), Mount Annapurna South (7219 meters), Mount Lamjung Himal (6,986 meters), Mount Nilgiri (6940 meters), Mount Hiunchuli (6441 meters), and many more.

Itinerary
After your arrival at Tribhuvan International Airport, Kathmandu, our airport representative will greet you with khada (typical traditional Tibetan/Nepali scaff using for greetings) and escort you to the hotel. In the afternoon, you can take rest or explore the streets of Thamel nearby your hotel. In the evening, we will organize a short pre-trip meeting and introduce you with your trekking guide, who will brief you about the preparations to be done for the trip.
Overnight at Hotel
After breakfast, at around 9 am, our guide and driver will pick you from your hotel and you will go for the sightseeing of famous UNESCO world heritage sites around the valley.
Pashupatinath (World heritage site)
The world-famous Hindu temple, Pashupatinath is regarded as one of the holiest and oldest Hindu temples in the world. This temple is located 5 km east from the city center at the bank of the holy Bagmati River. Pashupatinath area is widely decorated by various ornaments dedicated to Lord Shiva. As followed by the Hindu Culture, the cremation of the dead is done in the Pashupatinath area by the side of the bank of the holy Bagmati River.
Swayambhunath / Monkey temple (World heritage site)
Swayambhunath, also named as the monkey temple because it is surrounded by monkeys all over the area. Famous for people following both Hinduism and Buddhism, this temple not only provides the cultural and religious aspects but also offers various arts, architecture and the magnificent view of the Kathmandu valley from the western side of its hillock. Swayambhunath Stupa is imprinted by the eye of Lord Buddha, which stands for peace and knowledge.
Boudhanath (World heritage site)
Boudhanath is the oldest and the largest stupa in the valley, which was built during the Licchavi dynasty in the 5th century around 2500 years ago. Its old name is ‘Khasa’ but later it was changed to Boudhanath by the government. You will find many Buddhist pilgrims and monks from Tibet and various places going round the stupa spinning the prayer wheels.
Patan Durbar Square (World heritage site)
Patan Durbar Square is situated at the center of the Lalitpur city. The main attraction of Patan Durbar Square is the ancient Royal Palace, where the Malla Kings of Lalitpur resided. There are many temples and idols in this area. You can also explore the Newari lifestyle, food, and culture in the square and visit museums that contain many ancient items that have a lot of historical significance.
Overnight stay at hotel in Kathmandu
Early in the morning around 6 am you will be picked up from your hotel in Kathmandu by our driver then you will ride to Chitwan. You have an option to fly to Chitwan from Kathmandu (in extra price), we take lunch in the hotel and full visit of Saurah and around. Overnight at hotel
After breakfast you will move towards Chitwan National Park. You will enjoy watching birds, animals and the main thing you will enjoy the fresh environment in the park. In the afternoon you will take a lunch and go for jungle safari via jeep and explore the jungle with prospective wild animals and birds. And in the evening after the sunset view from Rapti river you will be treated with Tharu culture, tradition and Tharu cuisine. Overnight at hotel.
After your breakfast in Chitwan we drive to Pokhara. The scenery along with drive, characterized by terraced rice fields and rolling hills builds our anticipation for the trek. Pokhara is a relaxing town, surrounded by nature’s beauty with views of the Himalayas including Dhaulagiri, Machhapuchhre, Manaslu and the Annapurna. We do boating at Fewa lake and roaming around lake side in the evening.
Overnight at hotel.
After breakfast in your hotel at Pokhara, we drive to Nayapul via beautiful village Lumle. Then we start our trek towards Tikhe Dhunga. The trail goes ascends climbing up to the small valley. Overnight stay at Tikhedhunga.
After your breakfast in Tikhedhunga we proceed for Ghorepani. We find a suspension bridge near Tikhedhunga and the trail ascends through stone steps, there are about 3300 steps to the beautiful village- Ulleri. Ulleri is a typical Magar village, one of the ethnic communities of Nepal. The trail then ascends little more through terrain fields and arrive Nangethanti. From Nangethanti we climb to our final destination of the day, Ghorepani. You can see outstanding view of Mount Dhaulagiri I (8167m), Mount Tukuche Nilgiri (6940m), Mount Annapurna I (8091m), Mount Hiunchuli (6441m), Mount Tarke Kang (7193m) and other small peaks. Overnight at guesthouse in Ghandruk.
Today we wake up early in the morning to catch a beautiful sunrise from Poonhill. Early in the morning we hike up to Poonhill. Poon Hill is a hill top station from where you can see breathtaking panoramic views of the Himalayas including Mount Dhaulagiri, Mount Annapurna South, Mount Machhapuchhre (Fishtail), and many other small peaks. We return back to Ghorepani for our breakfast and walk towards Tadapani. Overnight stay at guest house in Tadapani.
After your breakfast, we head descending down to Khimche to catch a vehicle for Pokhara. You can enjoy the evening in Pokhara.
On this day, you need to wake up early in the morning to catch the mesmerizing sunrise view over the Himalayas. We'll go to Sarangkot viewpoint via a private car to catch the morning sunrise view. At the same time, you will be rewarded with the stunning views of snowcapped mountains including Annapurna and Dhaulagiri range as well as the outstanding view of the valley. We will then drive to Kathmandu by car. On the way, you can go for rafting at Trishuli River in additional cost. You will be arriving Kathmandu and you can enjoy the evening somewhere in Thamel or around.
Today is the last day of your trip. If you would like to stay more in Nepal; you have many options that can be shared with you upon request.
