Itinerary
The Mardi Himal Base Camp Trek begins after your arrival in Kathmandu Valley, where you’ll explore cultural and historical landmarks around UNESCO World Heritage Sites. The next day, we drive to the scenic city of Pokhara. From there, a short 45-minute drive takes us to Khande, the starting point of our trek.
Following the trail, we head toward Pothana, enjoying the natural beauty and cultural richness of the nearby villages. We pass through lush rhododendron forests and spend the night at Forest Camp, locally known as "Kokar." From Forest Camp, we descend to Low Camp, where we get glimpses of Machhapuchhre and other snow-covered peaks.
On the seventh day, we trek to the Mardi Himal Base Camp, located at 4,450 meters, where we are rewarded with stunning Himalayan views. Afterward, we return to High Camp for an overnight stay. The next day, we descend further, passing through the cultural villages of Siding and Lwang, and Khora Muk, before taking a short drive back to Pokhara. The trek concludes with more sightseeing and exploration in the beautiful Pokhara and culturally vibrant Kathmandu Valley.
The Mardi Himal Base Camp Trek is accessible year-round, but the best seasons to embark on this adventure are spring and autumn. In spring, you’ll pass through enchanting rhododendron forests in full bloom, while autumn offers clear, unobstructed views of the majestic Himalayas.
