Mardi Himal Base Camp trek is a newly opened eco-tourism trail in the classic Annapurna region of Nepal. The Mardi Himal trek displays incredible snowcapped peaks, forests of lovely rhododendrons, oaks, and pines, green rolling hills with dense vegetation, and spectacular little settlements of Tamang and Gurung inhabitants along the way, a perfect chance to explore the socio-cultural and lifestyle of the indigenous mountain communities.

Mardi Himal Base Camp trek leads trekkers to the base camp of Mardi Himal offering an extraordinary view of the majestic Annapurna massif, Dhaulagiri, Machhapuchhre, and Manaslu. Camping every night, sleeping under the stars and the mighty Himalayas offer the utmost adventure to the trekkers. This trekking route is moderate so you don’t need prior trekking experience, however preparing your body beforehand for the trekking journey certainly does help, moreover, our highly skilled and professional team will take care of you during the journey.

The trek follows off-beaten trails of shepherds and passes along various ridgelines, small winding paths, and dense forest lines to the rugged high mountain landscape. Ideally, the best time to do this trek is during the months of March to May and September to December, these seasons the weather is clear, and perfect opportunity to hike under the clear blue skies.

Day 1: Arrival in Kathmandu transfer to hotel preparation for trekking

The flight into Kathmandu is breathtaking with views of green hills and snowy peaks. Once you arrive at Kathmandu airport one of our team members will greet and welcome you then head towards your accommodation. Later in the evening, you'll have a short briefing about the trip. Then go to have delicious Nepali food in the traditional Thakali Kitchen.

Day 2: Kathmandu to Pokhara (820 m)

Will get up early then have your breakfast then move out to the Tourist bus station with your trek guide then Head to Pokhara, the drive takes around 5-6 hours through the Prithvi highway. Once you arrive at Pokhara, go to your accommodation and later on head out to explore the city, the city has various tourist attractions.

Day 3: Pokhara to Phedi by private transport for 40 minutes and trek to Deurali (2010m)

After an early breakfast, drive to Phedi the beginning points of your journey, from here you'll pass picturesque local towns and dense woods, and various terraced fields, continue your journey towards Deurali, a tiny settlement perched on the summit of a hill with wonderful views of the Annapurna range, Mardi Himal, and Machhapuchhre. Then explore around.

Day 4: Trek Deurali to Forest Camp (2550m)

After breakfast, follow the trail towards Forest Camp, a 5–6-hour trek through the thick forest of Rhododendrons, Oak, Maple, and a thick undergrowth of vegetation. Once you arrive at the forest camp take a rest later on and explore the area.

Day 5: Forest Camp to Low Camp (2990m)

Today the trail will lead you through dense woodland and thick vegetation, the perfect opportunity to explore the rich biodiversity of the region along the way, once you arrive at Low camp witness a spectacular beautiful green valley and thrilling mountain views of Mt. Machhapuchhre and the Mardi Himal.

Day 6: Low Camp to High Camp (3580m)

Today wake up early and after a light breakfast head to the trail again, the trail takes you to the higher part of the valley, alongside the Machhapuchare and Mardi Himal's thrilling mountain peaks. Once you get to the high camp, you'll be treated to a beautiful view of the mountain range and the isolated valley of the Annapurna region where you will chill with an amazing view.

Day 7: Hike up to Mardi Himal Base Camp (4500m) explore around enjoy the view and return back to High Camp and overnight High Camp. (3580m)

Wake up early as possible and after breakfast heads towards the base camp, the trail is narrow and has sheer cliffs so take caution, follow the trail to the upper viewpoint, and ascend to the Mardi base camp, you'll witness spectacular views of Mardi Himal (5587m), Annapurna I (8091m), Annapurna South (7219m), Hiunchuli (6441m). After spending a brief time at the base camp retrace your steps back to High camp.

Day 8: Trek High Camp to Siding (1850m)

Today the trail mostly consists of the downhill hike, take it slow and pass-through various settlements and dense woodlands, once you reach Siding rest and enjoy the night.

Day 9: Trek to Lumle and the drive to Pokhara (825m)

From Siding start early and head towards Lumle, on a 3-4 hours trek along the way you'll pass through the villages of Kalimati and Khalil. Once you reach Lumle rest and head towards Pokhara. Once you reach Pokhara explore the lake city.

Day 10: Pokhara to Kathmandu

You'll be traveling back to Kathmandu today. Once you reach your accommodation go sightseeing, stroll through Thamel, and perhaps do some souvenir shopping.

In the evening, a special cultural program and a farewell dinner will be served to commemorate the end of your journey.
