Kathmandu – Nagarkot – Pokhara Tour

Day 1: Welcome to Kathmandu valley (1400m). Pick it up from the airport and take it to the Hotel.

Once you arrive at Kathmandu a representative from Overland Trek Nepal will greet you and assist you with your accommodation. Once you checked in rest for a while. Later on, head out to explore the vibrant streets of Thamel. In the evening attend a welcome dinner program.

Day 2: Full day sightseeing tour of Kathmandu valley and evening wonderful drive to Nagarkot (2175m) to enjoy with spectacular sunset view.

After breakfast head on a guided tour of the Kathmandu valley. The Valley has various attractions to choose from. First head towards Pashupatinath Temple, a holy Hindu shrine located at the banks of the Bagmati river. The site is regarded as one of the most important pilgrimage destinations for Hindus. Observe the devotes and learn about the rich history and culture of the temple.

Next head towards Boudhanath, nestled on the eastern side of the valley. The Stupa is one of the largest in Nepal and the world. The Boudhanath stupa personifies the mandala, a powerful tool for meditation. Explore the stupa and observe the monks and devotees offering prayers and meditating. Soak in the vibrant energy of the region. From Boudhanath head towards Kathmandu Durbar Square, an epicenter of the culture and history of Kathmandu valley. The Durbar square consists of various temples and places providing deep insight into the lifestyle of the people.

The last destination you will be visiting is the Monkey temple, known as Syambhunath Stupa, located on a hilltop providing views of the valley and the snowcapped range towards the North. The Stupa is one of the holiest pilgrimage sites for Buddhist and Hindu followers. A large number of followers flock to this Stupa from all around the world. Observe the monks chanting sacred text and devotees worshiping around. After exploring the area head towards your accommodation and rest.

After the full day of sightseeing in the Kathmandu valley head to Nagarkot a hill located at the end of the valley and witness grand views of the Himalayas.

Day 3: Drive to Pokhara(800m) by car. enjoy the evening view at Phewa lake.

After witnessing the sunrise at Nagarkot head towards Pokhara, on the twisted roads of Prithvi Highway following the rapids of Trishuli and Marsyangdi river. On the drive, you will cross various settlements and lush hills of central Nepal. Upon reaching Pokhara head towards your accommodation. Later head out to take a stroll around the banks of Phewa lake.

Day 4: Full-day sightseeing in Pokhara. Visit the cultural village, lakes, Temple, Cave, waterfall, etc.

The city of Pokhara has various attractions. Head out to explore villages located on the edge of the city and experience the true rural lifestyle of the people. After a short hike heads towards Phewa lake for a boat ride with the views of snowcapped mountains. Next head to various ancient temples and learn about their rich history and culture. After that head towards the caves of Pokhara, Gupteshwar cave, Bat cave, and Mahendran cave after exploring the caves head towards Devis Falls a renowned waterfall of Pokhara. After the tour heads towards your accommodation in the evening and ventures out to explore the nightlife of Pokhara.

Day 5: Early morning drive to Sarangkot (1600m) to see the sunrise and enjoy the amazingly beautiful view and after breakfast drive back to Kathmandu.

After breakfast head towards Sarangkot hill. A renowned vantage point of the region to witness grand views of the sunrise over the Himalayas. Witness the rays of the sun changing the white snow-capped mountains into the hue of colors. The majestic Annapurna range, Dhaulagiri range, Machhapuchhre, rows of beautiful green hills, terraces fields, and the view of Pokhara valley.

After witnessing the grand views head back towards your accommodation and catch a ride to Kathmandu. Upon reaching Kathmandu head towards your hotel and after a brief rest head out to stroll around Thamel. In the evening join in for a special dinner program to mark the end of your trip.

Day 6: Final Departure to your destination.

Today bid your farewell to Nepal and the friends you made through the journey. A representative from Overland Trek Nepal will drop you off at the airport.
