Overview
The Kailash Range, considered to be one of the most sacred by Hindus, is said to be 30 million years old, formed during the early stages of the formation of the Himalayan mountains. Its highest peak, the 6,675-m-high Kailash, is said to be the holy residence of Lord Shiva .

This sacred mountain, Kailash Parvat, is believed to be the ultimate destination for the soul and the spiritual epicenter of the world. Lake Mansarovar, located near Mount Kailash, is revered as a reservoir of purity and is a prominent place of pilgrimage, attracting Hindus from across the globe who embark on theKailash Yatra. Immersing in the waters of Mansarovar and partaking in the ritual of drinking from its pristine source during this journey are believed to cleanse the pilgrims of sins accumulated over a hundred lifetimes.
