Description
The Everest Base Camp trek is a famous adventure in Nepal that attracts trekkers from all over the world. The journey usually lasts 12 to 14 days, starting in Lukla and passing through beautiful villages like Namche Bazaar and Tengboche, before reaching the incredible base camp. A 14-day trek gives you time to adjust to the altitude, helping to avoid altitude sickness and making the experience more enjoyable.
Trek packages often include meals, accommodation, and a guide. It's important to have a map to help you find your way and spot important landmarks. The trek covers about 130 kilometers (around 80 miles) round trip, with the base camp at 5,364 meters (17,598 feet), which can be challenging even for experienced trekkers.
While many trekkers from around the world join, Nepali citizens also have a special opportunity to experience the trek, connecting with their cultural roots and the beautiful landscapes of their country.
