The Annapurna Region's Chulu Far East Peak is one of Nepal's most popular and comparatively easy peak-climbing excursions. The 16-day ascent to the southwest edge of the Chulu Far East Peak travels through various icy terrains and is encircled by mountains and high rocky peaks. The peak, at 6,059 meters/19,880 feet, offers spectacular views of the Annapurna range, Pisang Peak, Gangapurna, and Chulu West. A variation in landscape from rough dry routes to snowy slopes reveals diversity in flora and fauna.

Day 1: Arrival in Kathmandu and Transfer to Hotel
The flight into Kathmandu is breathtaking with a panoramic view of the valley and Himalayan ranges towering. Once you land and check out from the Tribhuvan International Airport our agent will greet and welcome you, and drive you to your hotel, later in the evening you'll be assisted with all of your travel requirements for the trek.

Day 2: Culture tour around Kathmandu, then preparation for the trip
After your early morning breakfast, you will be ready for a day tour with a guide. When the guide comes to the hotel to take you will move out by private car. The valley of Kathmandu has much to offer, you may take a walk around the city with a guide, later in the afternoon, you'll have a brief orientation by your guide regarding the trip and final check of all the equipment needed.

Day 3: Drive from Kathmandu to Chame (2,710m/8,892ft, 9 to 10 hours)
Leave Kathmandu early in the morning, and head to Chame passing by rivers, rolling hills, and lush greenery along the way. The route passes through the Marshyangdi valley after leaving the Prithvi highway.
Chame is the starting point for numerous other treks in the vicinity, including the Annapurna Circuit Trek. At the checkpoint, ready your Annapurna Conservation Area Permit, after your permits are checked head towards your accommodation, relax, or take a stroll around the village.

Day 4: Trek from Chame to Lower Pisang (3,300m/10,827ft, 5 to 6 hours)
This is your first day of trekking, and the trail is highly fascinating with numerous stunning vistas. After passing through a deep forest on a steep and narrow route, you'll arrive at the Paungada Danda, from here, you'll be able to see the magnificent peaks and several waterfalls cascading from massive stones, and undulating hills, and at turquoise Marsyangdi River. After arriving at Lower Pisang take a stroll along the organic apple farm and try various apple products.

Day 5: Trek from Pisang to Humde Village (3,330m/10,926ft, 3 to 4 hours)
Today's trek is brief yet thrilling, begin your hike from the beautiful villages with breathtaking Himalayan vistas early in the morning after breakfast along the dusty trail.
The only airport in the Marsyangdi valley is located at Humde, with few scattered homes and lodges cross the region. The trail is dotted with Mani walls with the longest Mani walls in Manang, with 266 prayer wheels.
At the local police station, show your permits for inception, after that head towards your accommodation

Day 6: Humde to Julu Khola (3,500m/11,484ft, 3 to 4 hours)
After breakfast, you'll make your way to Julu Khola over wooded pathways of Pine, Cedar, and Oaks. visit the Lophelling Monastery along the trail, then you'll head to Sher Gompa, a retreat place for Tibetan Buddhist nuns in the area, the Julu Khola, can be reached by walking forward for a while.

Day 7: Acclimatization and Rest Day at Julu Khola
Acclimatization is very important as the next day’s trek will see a drastic rise in elevation, leave your heavy stuff in the camp and take short hikes around the area, take an ascend to Julu Peak Base Camp, the base camp offers views of the snowcapped Annapurna Massif at a distance and the Pisang Peak up-close the settlement has various other acclimatization points.

Day 8: Trek from Julu Khola to Chulu Far East Base Camp (5,000m/16,405ft, 5 to 6 hours)
As, substantial altitude rise, today's hike will be a little more difficult and in addition, the trail ascends steeply to reach Chulu Far East Base Camp so you'll be walking across some difficult rocky terrain.
Despite the trek's challenges, the beautiful views of the Annapurna Massif will rejuvenate you, your team will have already set up camp for an overnight stay so as after reaching the base camp rest and relax.

Day 9: Acclimatization Day at Chulu Far East Base Camp and pre-climbing training (5,000m/16,405ft)
Due to the increase in altitude and thin oxygen level you'll spend the day as an acclimatization excursion at base camp.
Leave all of your heavy items at your tent and head towards the base camp's nearest glacier.
You'll have pre-climbing training by your climbing guide in order to prepare for the next day's ascent, your guide will show how to utilize climbing equipment such as a karabiner, ascender, ice axe, harness, and more.
As part of the training, you will be required to ascend and descend using ropes.
Take a break after the strenuous training as you'll have to get up early the next day to begin your adventure.

Day 10: Climb from Base Camp to Chulu Far East High Camp (5,500m/18,046ft, 3 to 4 hours)
Today you'll be ascending to the Chulu Far East High Camp, although it is a short ascent, it is difficult since the trail winds through snowy terrain and makes the ascent exhilarating, with breathtaking views of the Annapurna Massif, Chulu East, Chulu West, and Chulu Far East. Meanwhile, Pisang Peak is right in front of you.
Reach the campground on the rocky platform of the high camp through a snowy trail, explore a small lake in the region after setting up the tent.

Day 11: High Camp to Chulu Far East Peak Summit to Base Camp (6059m/19,880ft, 8 to 9 hours)
On this day, you'll reach the summit of the Chulu Far East Peak. So, begin the ascent at 2 a.m. as it is critical to begin early in the day since the mountain weather get too windy as the day passes. The route to the peak starts with a gradual ascent, then gradually grows steeper covered with snow on rocky mountain paths. As you approach the peak's pinnacle, the trek gets more and more difficult.
Finally, you'll be reaching the summit of Chulu Far East which is an enriching sensation, the climb to the summit is the most difficult part, but the views from the top make it all worthwhile.
The views of amazing peaks like Annapurna II, III, IV, Pisang Peak Chulu West, Himlung Valley, and Gangapurna are breathtaking, descend the sheer slopes to High Camp after enjoying the magnificent vistas.
You'll return to Base Camp via the descending route once you've reached High Camp.

Day 12: Contingency Day for Summit
If your summit attempt is canceled due to severe weather or illness, this extra day has been set aside for summiting, this day can also be used in the case of an emergency, such as airline delays or other unanticipated situations that force us to cancel a day of your vacation.
If all goes according to plan, the additional day may be used to take it easy and explore more of the path. Alternatively, you might spend the additional day tour in Kathmandu.
Day 13: Descend from Chulu Far East Base Camp to Humde village
Retrace your steps back, but this time to Humde Village, the descent is easier and you'll have to cover a large distance, Passing through the Julu Khola and the dispersed settlements on your way to the Humde village.
Once you reach Humde you may enjoy local delicacies and drinks while listening to the stories and folk music of the locals.

Day 14: Trek from Humde Village to Chame (7 to 8 hours)
After breakfast, leave Humde village early in the morning and head to Chame and then to Lower Pisang. After a short distance, you'll arrive at Chame. Relax and rest when you reach to Chame.

Day 15: Drive from Chame to Kathmandu (1,400m/ 4,593ft, 9 to 10 hours)
After breakfast, say your goodbyes to the mountain and friends you made and head through the stunning Marsyangdi valley. As you travel over the hilly roads, you'll pass across breathtaking waterfalls and villages, and fast-moving rivers. Once you arrive in Kathmandu, you'll be driven to your accommodation, take a break, or go souvenir shopping.
In the evening, a special cultural program and a farewell dinner will be served to commemorate the end of your journey.
