Itinerary
Our adventure to Annapurna begins in the historic Kathmandu Valley, known as the city of temples. After preparing our bikes, we load them into jeeps and make our way to Besisahar, situated at 2,493 meters above sea level, where our journey officially begins. Before setting off, our team will provide insights into the Annapurna region to enhance your experience as we navigate suspension bridges and rugged terrain. We then make our way towards Manang, a village nestled at the heart of the Annapurna region, where we acclimatize to prepare for the higher altitudes.
The highest point of our bike ride is Thorong La Pass, standing at 5,416 meters. Reaching Thorong La on a bike is no small feat, but it is a once-in-a-lifetime achievement. At higher altitudes, trekkers have the choice to either hike to the top or continue riding their bikes. For your safety, our guide will be there to assist you and ensure a smooth experience.
After descending from Thorong La, we visit the sacred Muktinath Temple to offer prayers and seek spiritual cleansing. We then indulge in a relaxing natural hot spring bath at Tatopani, while taking in the stunning views of the surrounding Himalayan peaks. Our journey concludes with a peaceful cup of tea by the lakeside in Pokhara, marking the end of an unforgettable adventure.
The Annapurna region can be trekked year-round, but the best seasons are spring, from March to May, and autumn, from September to November. These periods offer clear mountain views and pleasant temperatures, making the trek more enjoyable. Additionally, from September to November, locals in the Annapurna region celebrate Nepal’s biggest festivals, Dashain and Tihar, adding a cultural touch to the journey.
If you prefer fewer crowds, you can embark on your trek between November and December. During this time, the afternoons are cool, making hiking more comfortable. However, be prepared for colder days and freezing nights. Winter often brings snow that can block the Thorong La Pass, leading to potential delays in your trek.
