The Annapurna Base Camp Trek is the most sought-after adventure in the Annapurna region of Nepal, offering a perfect blend of breathtaking natural wonders, scenic landscapes, and cultural experiences with the Annapurna range as a stunning backdrop. The trek showcases incredible opportunities for exploration, from walking through local villages and terraced fields to reaching the pristine alpine glaciers. One of the best ways to admire the majestic Annapurna panorama is by trekking through the high-altitude Annapurna Sanctuary a route to the base camp. Just 40 kilometers north of Pokhara in central Nepal, this journey allows you to witness the towering peaks of the Annapurna range, including Nilgiri and Machhapuchhre, surrounding you in all their glory.
In the Annapurna Sanctuary, you’ll experience a variety of ecosystems, ranging from the lush jungles on the southern slopes to the colder, drier climates of the northern regions. Along the trek, you may spot wildlife like tigers and leopards in the lower areas, while higher elevations are home to animals like wild goats, musk deer, and even the legendary yeti.
Nepal is a land of rich cultural diversity and religious harmony, where indigenous beliefs blend seamlessly with major religions. As you pass through villages along the trekking route, you’ll encounter many warm and welcoming Nepalese people, eager to share their unique traditions and way of life.
The trek itself, combined with the opportunity to meet and socialize with fellow adventurers from around the world, makes the Annapurna Base Camp Trek a truly cherished experience. Along the way, you'll find numerous 'tea houses' where you can relax, enjoy some refreshments, and recharge for the journey ahead.
Reaching Annapurna Base Camp is a rewarding moment, allowing you to reflect on your accomplishment while soaking in the awe-inspiring views of the surrounding mountain peaks.

We begin our Annapurna Base Camp (ABC) Trek after your arrival at Kathmandu International Airport, where you'll enjoy cultural sightseeing at UNESCO World Heritage Sites and finalize the necessary trek preparations.
The journey starts with a scenic flight to the beautiful lake city of Pokhara, followed by a drive to Nayapul. From there, we begin our trek toward Ulleri, passing through picturesque local villages, stunning landscapes, and offering views of the Himalayas. After about five hours of trekking, we arrive at Ghorepani, where the next morning begins with a hike to the famous Poon Hill viewpoint. As the sun rises, its golden rays transform the snow-covered peaks, including Mt. Annapurna, Mt. Dhaulagiri, Mt. Machhapuchhre, and nearby mountains, into a breathtaking golden hue.
We then descend to Tadapani and continue trekking over the next few days, passing through Chhomrong, Bamboo, and Deurali. Along the way, you'll experience the best of nature with rivers, forests, and a glimpse of Gurung culture as we head toward Machhapuchhre Base Camp. From here, we cross avalanche paths and moraines, making our way to the stunning Annapurna Base Camp (ABC), located in the heart of the Annapurna Sanctuary. Here, you’ll be surrounded by a spectacular 360-degree view of the Himalayan giants.
After reaching our goal, we descend from ABC back to Bamboo. The trek continues as we pass Jhinu Danda and Nayapul before driving back to Kathmandu.
