Desert tour
Day 1 – Marrakech – Ouarzazate- rose valley – Dades valley
Pick up at your hotel or a location of your choosing. We will then begin our desert tour from Marrakech to the Sahara, crossing theTizi N Tichka pass of the High Atlas Mountains (2260m), and arriving at the Unesco World Heritage Site Ait Ben Haddou Kasbah, the fortified ksar with its lovely Kasbahs. Many film producers have used Ait Ben Haddou as natural setting. A local guide will accompany you on a trip over the river to the other side to discover The Ksar. You will then ascend the hill through the narrow streets of Ait-ben-Haddou for an incredible perspective of the rich Ounila river valley, which is ringed by ancient ruins. The view from the top appears to span the entire planet, surrounded by a desolate terrain and with the snow-capped Atlas Mountains in the background. After lunch, we’ll go to Dades Gorge via Ouarzazate, Skoura, and the extensive rose valley (the seasons of roses is in in late May). We will turn onto a side road that climbs into the Dades gorges once we reach Boumalne Dades. From here, we will take in the stunning beauty of the fortified Kasbahs and rock formations (known as the monkey feet) along the Dades River against the setting sun. We travel to our accommodation after stopping at the canyons for a drink or to take in the breathtaking landscape. Dinner and a night’s rest.
Day 2 – Dades valley –Toudra gorges – Merzouga(Camel ride – Night in desert)
Our adventure today will begin with a drive down the Road of 1001 Kasbahs to the oasis of Tinghir, where we will divert on a minor road and proceed along the river to Todgha Gorges after breakfast at your hotel in Dades Valley. After some leisure time to take in the vastness of the enormous cliffs, there will be lunch. Driving through a rugged desert environment will take us to Merzouga. Meet our camel caravan at the camp when you arrive, then ride your camels across the breathtaking, color-changing sand dunes with the sunset in the background. After taking some time to admire the sand dunes, we arrive at our desert camp before it becomes dark. And the natural scenery prepares for a Moroccan meal served by the campfire and the stars. Your local nomad hosts will provide you with musical entertainment late at night using berber drums.
Day 3 – Merzouga – Ouarzazate – Marrakech
After seeing the sunrise in desert. And after breakfast and hot shower in the camp. Then start our journey backing to Marrakech via Alnif Tazarine and arrive to Ouarzazate. In the afternoon. Then we will continue to Marrakech
