You will be met at the Mohammed V airport in Casablanca by a member of the team (Guide) to begin your 8-day Morocco tour from Casablanca across Morocco’s business center (depending on your arrival time we may drive you to your hotel before commencing the tour). The lively city center, with its Architectural Style, and the fashionable beach resort of Corniche d’Ain Diab will be visited on this city tour. Non-Muslims are welcome to see the majestic Hassan II mosque, the world’s second-biggest religious structure.
Set out for Fes. The road to Fes winds through the lovely countryside where olives, grain, vegetables, and grapes are grown. You will travel to Meknes and Volubilis before reaching Fes. The magnificent Roman ruins of Volubilis, the Roman Empire’s furthest southern outpost, can be found nearby.
The Medersa Ben Inania and the Bab Mansour, the Gateway of Moulay Ismail Palace, are located in Meknes, the birthplace of the first Arab dynasty founded by Moulay Ismail. This leads us to the stables and granaries of Henries-Souani. A rooftop garden and cafe with a fantastic view of the city may be found upstairs. Check into your hotel when you arrive in Fes.
Following breakfast, you will begin your tour of the world’s oldest Medina with a local professional tour guide. You’ll take a walking tour of the Medina, stopping at the Royal Palace’s gateway, the 9th-century Karouine mosque, and the University.
The tomb of the city’s founder, “Moulay Idriss II,” will also be visited. Lunch will be served at one of the old Medina’s typical restaurants. Following lunch, your tour will continue to the Najarine Fountain, the historic Harem Garden, and the Batha Museum. You’ll pause for a panoramic view of the city on your way back to the Riad.
After breakfast, we will begin our journey across the Atlas Mountains to the desert, passing via Ifrane on our way to the Azrou cedar forests, which are home to wild monkeys. We continue over the Atlas Mountains, passing through Medilt, to reach the small town of Rich, Erfoud, where we will feel the start of the Sahara, and then on to Merzouga.
In the afternoon, you’ll ride your camel through the Erg-Chebbi’s sand sea, accompanied by an experienced camel guide. You’ll spend your first night here under the stars, or in a genuine Berber Luxury Camp. After dinner, you will be greeted by a massive fire with millions of stars as you’ve never seen before, courtesy of the Berbers who will perform traditional music and share their culture.
After a fantastic night, you’ll wake up early with renewed energy to watch the sunrise between the dunes, when the dunes’ colors blend with the movement of shadows to create an incredible sight.
