9 Days Maasai Mara & Galu Beach Tour

Day 1: Arrival in Nairobi

Upon arrival, you will be transferred to your city hotel at Nairobi Serena booked on bed and breakfast.

Day 2: Nairobi City Tour

This day will be spent in Nairobi, with options of doing city excursions (Extra Costs). Overnight at Nairobi Serena hotel booked on bed and breakfast.

Day 3: Nairobi – Masai Mara

After an early breakfast, a short safari briefing will be conducted then you will depart Nairobi by road heading through the viewpoint of the Great Rift Valley escarpment, a stopover at the great rift valley escapement for viewing, another brief stopover will be at Narok Town, then we head for the park. We are expected at the park gate by 1200Hrs where we shall proceed to the lodge for lunch and check-in. After Lunch, you relax in the lodge until later when we head out for our afternoon game drive searching for the wildlife. We later return to the lodge to enjoy our dinner and overnight at Mara Sarova Lodge.

Day 4: Masai Mara – Full Day Game Drives

Arise early and after breakfast, we leave for a full day game drive by 0730hrs with our picnic lunch boxes in hand. We will go to visit the various spots in the park including where wildebeest migration takes place across the Mara River. This will be followed by a picnic lunch in the wild. We later head back to the lodge after the afternoon game drive for dinner and overnight at Mara Sarova Lodge.

Day 5: Masai Mara – Diani (Galu Beach)

After an early breakfast around 0600hrs, we head out for our early morning game drive in search of wildlife against the backdrop of the beautiful sunrise. At around 1000Hrs we shall end the game drive with a visit to Maasai Village. Once arrived within the village, you can meet the people, visit a typical Maasai home, learn about Maasai daily life, enjoy dancing and singing displays, and visit the community’s own handicrafts market. You will get back to the lodge for Lunch in readiness for your transfer to the airstrip for your afternoon flight to Ukunda Airstrip – Diani; where you will meet awaiting Car for transfer to Galu Beach Lantana. Dinner at the Beach restaurant. Overnight at Galu Beach Lantana.

Day 6: Galu Beach

This day you may opt to go for a shopping trip to Diani Shopping center or relax with a soft drink by the beach pool or at the Beach. After lunch, we take a glass-bottomed boat ride at The Lantana Galu Beach for some exciting kite surfing. During the boat ride, you get to see the exciting fishes and other creatures that hide below the seawater. A short walk to the Kaya Kinondo sacred forest will crown your day before we head back home in the evening. Dinner & Overnight at Galu Lantana.

Day 7: Wasini Island – Kisite Mpunguti Marine Park

We leave for Wasini Island after breakfast. It will take us about half an hour by boat to get there. Here, let us walk around the island and explore the wondrous Coral reefs, marveling at the small creatures that built these incredibly strong walls. We will spend the morning snorkeling and watching the wonderful sea creatures that exist on the seabed. After lunch, we will be visiting the nearby Kisite Mpunguti Marine National Park to watch the vibrant sea creatures at work. Here, you will get a chance to meet the dolphins and various bird species that reside on the Kenyan coast. Later, let us join the playful dolphins showing their diving skills by spending some minutes swimming and diving.

Day 8: Galu Beach

This is your day at leisure for you to spend on the Beach. Optional activities are available on request.

Day 9: Diani - Nairobi

After a luxurious breakfast and morning, you will relax the day at the beach and after lunch will be transferred to the Ukunda airstrip for your flight to Nairobi at 1600 Hrs to arrive Nairobi at 1810 Hrs in time for check-in for your international flight back home.
