Kenya Bird Watching Tour - 13 Days Package

Itinerary of the 13 Days Kenya Bird Watching Tour Adventure: DAY 1 - Nairobi - Our representative will take you from the Airport and then take you to the Nairobi Olsereni Hotel for a night stay and to relax.

DAY 2 - Nairobi – Meru National Park After breakfast, we would be leaving for bird watching adventure to Meru National Park. Scenic Landscapes would be on our way. You would see the mighty landscapes of Mt. Kenya on sunny days. Reach Meru National Park during lunchtime and enjoy the lunch at the Rock Lodge.

- Most prominent birds which are found in the park are Augur Buzzard, Crowned Hawk-Eagle, Broad-ringed White-eye, Cape Robin-Chat, Eastern Double, Black-tailed Oriole, Mosque Swallow, and the Purple-throated Cuckoo-shrike.

- Night stay at the Leopard Rock Lodge.

- Three times a meal would be complimentary.

DAY 3 of the Kenya Bird Watching Tour - Meru National Park - Most part of the tour would be spent visiting the park and looking for many kinds of bird species with the assistance of a tour guide.

- Have lunch and spent the rest of the day at the Lodges.

- Night stay would be there at the Rock Lodge.

DAY 4 - Meru National Park – Mount Kenya National park - Finish breakfast and depart for the Mt. Kenya.

- Lunch will be provided at the Mountain Serena Lodge.

- You will have some time to refresh after lunch. Later in the day, the guide will take you for a small bird walk.

- Night stay will be at the luxurious Mountain Serena Lodge.

- Three times the meal is complimentary.

DAY 5 - Mount Kenya National park - Enjoy the breakfast at the forest trails and leave for bird watching activities. Search out for the globally threatened species like Sharpe’s Longclaw, Jackson’s Widowbird, and Abbott's Starling. Apart from this, the Mt. Kenya has multiple types of birding species like Hartlaub, Giant Kingfisher, Singing Red Faced, African Golden Weaver, Yellow Crowned Bishop, Croaking Cisticola and the African Firefinch.

- Night stay is at the reserved Mt. Serena Lodge or any other facility of a similar type.

DAY 6 - Mount Kenya to Lake Nakuru National Park On this day of Kenya Bird Watching Tour visit Mt. Kenya and see the Lake Nakuru National Park and then enjoy the lunch at the Lake Nakuru Sopa Lodge. Lunch is served in a purely traditional manner. For some obvious reasons, Lake Nakuru National Park is considered the best place in the world for lesser and greater flamingos. The most common birds over there include Little Grebe, Southern Pochard, Whiskered Tern, White-Fronted Bee-Eater, Wailing Cisticola, Cliff Chat, Long Crested, and the Lilac-breasted roller.

- The night stay will be at the lodges.

DAY 7 - Lake Nakuru – Lake Baringo - Go and see the Lake Nakuru National Park and move through the Great Rift Valley floor. Reach Lake Baringo for traditional lunch. We will go to Baringo Island camp then. You will have the opportunity to see the Crocodiles, Hippos and another kind of species from close on the boat ride. Lunch will be at the camp. Many beautiful things to see in Baringo are Northern Masked. Hemprich. Mouse-colored Penduline, White-faced Scops owl, Jackson’s and masked weaver, and the Sunbird, etc.

- Night stay would be most probably at the Baringo Island camp.

DAY 8 - Lake Baringo – Lake Bogoria - Take a ride on the boat to the mainland from where we will head to the Bogoria National Park. Have a bird walk around the geysers and then a lunchtime nearby Lake Bogoria. The hot springs offer you the bathing opportunity also.

- Drive back to the Lake Baringo late noon and stay for a night in the camp.

- The meal will be served by our staff.

DAY 9 - Lake Baringo - Lake Naivasha - The day will start from the Baringo and then move to Naivasha to finally reach the Lake Naivasha Sawela Lodge. Multiple types of bird species are in Lake Naivasha which includes White Pelican, Black Crake, White-Headed Barbet, as well as the Great Cormorants. More so is the Hirundine which is in abundance in Kenya. Seeing all these creatures is a wonderful experience for adventurers as well as beginners.

- Stay at the lodges where the meal will also be served.

DAY 10 - Naivasha - Masai Mara National Park - Our tour will start from the Masai Mara National Park after breakfast and we will leave for perfect places to visit where bird watching is at its best.

- Be on time at the Mara Sopra Lodge.

- Masai Mara is in the Northern Portion of the Great Plains where the ecosystem is as good as anyone can aspire for. Big Five lives happily in the Park for many decades. Big fives include Elephant, Cheetah, Giraffe, Zebra, Lion, and Buffalo. Large herds of plain antelope and the other wildlife can be seen in the locality.

- The first game drive will be in the evening.

- Dinner and night stay would be at the lodges. DAY 11 - Masai Mara National Park

- Leave for the game drive. Picnic lunch will be taken along. Plains of Masai Mara furnish an excellent opportunity to see the Zitting, Rattling and Rufous Naped. Somali Short-toed, white tailored Lark as well as some other species of raptors would be there to welcome you. In addition to this, African Wattled Lapwing, white-bellied Bustard, and the Black-bellied are some other beauties of the area.

DAY 12 - Masai Mara National Park - Today will also be in the Masai Mara National Park and we would have game drive all day in the reserve. The landscape is full of scenic grasslands on rolling hills. Tourists rate this park as one of the best for a game drive in Kenya. Infrastructure is also good in the park, tracks as well the photography points are well in place.

- Night stay at the scenic lodges where we would be having our meals also.

DAY 13 - Masai Mara - Nairobi - Depart from the Masai Mara National Reserve and drive across the agricultural towns of Narok. Make a short stop at the Rift Valley viewpoint which is at an approximate height of 6000 ft.

- Later in the day proceed to the Nairobi where a farewell ceremony would be hosted at the Carnivore Restaurant.

- Go to the Airport after the lunch and board your flight to return home after 13 days of adventurous Kenya Bird Watching Tour full of natural beauty and excitement.
