A detailed tour of the all part and monuments of the Naples historical centre, that represents the first historical core of the city. It encompasses almost three millennia of history and is the largest in Italy to the point of being declared a UNESCO World Heritage.

Its exceptional monuments testify to the succession of almost all cultures of the Mediterranean and Europe to the point that in 2017 the BBC described Naples as 'the Italian city with too much history to handle'. An ancient city of Greek origin, Naples transcends all ages and many dominations: from the Greeks, to the Romans to the Angevins in medieval times, to the Spanish in the seventeenth century. All cultures and arts caretterize it: the Greco-Roman, Medieval, Renaissance, Baroque, and Art Nouveau. The ancient internal re-foundation of the city, today known as: Historical centre, will immerse ourselves in all the history that has characterised the city in a his meelting-poot of architecture and cultures.

We will start from Piazza Dante where we will admire the 'Convitto Nazionale' designed by the famous architect Vanvitelli and then, entering the historical centre from the 'Port'Alba', we will pass by the oldest pizzeria in the city and then arrive at Piazza Bellini, where the ancient Greek walls of the city of Neapolis are still visible today!
We will continue our tour towards via Tribunali, telling about the famous statue of 'Pulcinella' and the so-called 'church of the souls in purgatory', which hides a mysterious crypt.
We will then move on to the celebre Via San Gregorio Armeno, famous for the nativity scenes made by the local artisans' workshops, symbol of our craft tradition in the world.
We will then pass through Spaccanapoli Street, a UNESCO heritage site. The street that physically divides the city of Naples into two parts. Famous for its churches and palaces, it represents the oldest area of Naples. We will stop to visit the Church of Santa Chiara, a magnificent example of a Gothic-Medieval church, famous for its majolica-tiled cloister.
Eventually we will end our tour of the historic center of Naples at Piazza del Gesù nuovo. Also a UNESCO heritage site, within which we find the obelisk of the Immaculate Conception and the Church of the New Jesus of the same name. One of the most important Baroque churches in the city and dedicated to the saint Giuseppe Moscati.
